did you first unhook the battery? are you getting power at the deck/amp? if by chance the power was on and you hooked the rca harness to the deck, you may have shorted the fuse on the circuit board. I DID tthis, 125.00 fix. recheck all connections and make sure all wires are hooked up.
you could also test with a volt meter to see if theres a signal on the rca from the deck, and check the amp out also.
hope this helps man

use a volt meter on the rca's comong from the deck--
use a volt meter on the amp rca inputs--
are you usong amps for all speakers? if yes, then remove deck, using the deck speaker wires (not the rca's) hook up any speaker to that and see if you have volume.
IF you have volume out of the speaker then you fried the fuse on the circuit board, or the rca preamps.
next step is taking in to get fixed.
try this and let me know whats happening. ill be able to help more with this info, dave

getting more info by the minute.
so the no sound is coming from the sub amp and sub, correct?
try the hookup with another amp, and another sub. then try with a different set or rca's. if still no sound, i think you may have fried the preamp outputs.
btw, did you pull out all the fuses and check them. also try replacing all fuses. sometimes it will power on even with 1 bad fuse.

i'll check the fuses tom and in wat way would i have possibly fried the preamp outputs? if using volt meter to check are there any precautions i should take?

Check your ground... Our cars have washers that may look like they're metal, but if you scratch it with a screwdriver it may be plastic... I did this in my brothers elantra, we had everything right we thought and come to find out the ground we had hooked up wasn't even metal.
