Would any of you guys be interested in doing a group buy on sound dampening material for your car? I have contacted both manufactures and I am waiting to hear from either one. Two years ago I did one on a Eclipse forum with the raamat company and it worked out great. Any coments or sugestions? Thanks

i would...i would love to do so much sound deadening in my car...trunk, rear seats, floor, doors...i hate all this little sound everywhere...i forgot about brown bread...i was looking at dynamat, but couldnt afford it...i know these two are a little cheaper, but will do the same thing

I hear fatmat is great quality and cheap - $100 for 100 sq. ft. plus shipping. At some point I would like to do this but right now the funds aren't there.

the one place i would LOVE to do first, is behind the side pads of the back seat...inbetween where the seats and door are...i hear so much noise from there, its crazy...the trunk would be next (and the lid if i can do it without looking messy) and then the whole under carpet area of the interior...and the doors, and the b-pillar, and the c-pillar...well, the whole damn car!!!

haha yea, the rattling is really annoying especially hearing it from the outside of ur car.... But i got a question for matting the doors... how exactly would you do it? do u leave the peeling on and just take maybe a couple inches of peeling off the edges only?

I would interested in 50 sq ft or 100 sq ft depending on cost, so i can do the doors and trunk, because those are the easiest.

Brown bread is out, they were not willing to go any lower than thier Ebay prices, Sorry
On the other hand I am working on getting raamat to sign up on the site, we have already worked out a few of the details. You guys will probably see something in the group buy section by thursday of this week.

Make sure they check in with SuperGLS. But I don't see where that would be a problem. Good stuff.
*edit* Already done, nevermind.

We should see if B-quiet would do a group buy on L-comp. I refuse to do sound deadener w/o also laying down a noise barrier.

Not to stray off-topic here but remember that all that sound-deadener weighs a lot. May want to include an Accord CAI with the group buy so no one ends up quiet an SLOW! LOL

maybe you should ask the fatmat guy on ebay, his prices are already low maybe he will give us a discount if we do a GB
EDIT: well i just asked the fatmat guy he says:
----------------------
can do 99.99 + 21.01 = 121.011 x 10= 1210.00 total price
99.99 fatmat 21.01 shipping
thats a savings of around 100.00 dollars on ten 100sqft rolls. let me know thanks soundsdead
----------------------
so basically $9 off his price on ebay.... i could prolly push him to make it $14 or $19, but i dunno what do u guys think?

OK heres the deal That is being Offered By WWW.ELEMENTALDESIGNS.COM (eDead)
--We will get 25% off IF our purchases combined is equal to or greater than 1000sq ft,
--You can purchase any amount you want there is the option of custom cut to whatever length you need
--It is $1 per sq ft for the .45 mil thickness, price gets higher if u want greater thickness....
.........Example of discount: 100sq ft = $100 - %25 discount = $75 for 100sq ft,
--Shipping: Everyones cost will be different you need to go to the site and enter all ur info to get the shipping cost,
.........i got $18 for 60sq ft and $28 for 120sq ft, yours will probably be similar,
The group Buy will be done on the website, he will give is a code/coupon to enter at the site while we order, But before the GB is official we need to make sure we have enough buyers to confirm we will get at least 1000sq ft
Let me know what you guys think, and who is 100% sure they want to buy, and how much they want to buy

The group buy for Raamat will begin in april, 60 mills thick 62.5 sq. ft. with no minimum buy in for $89 / roll plus shipping. Its about the same deal as the edead just the edead is thinner at 45 mills.
not yours retard the one with the no bush pic
Being negative judgmental with a resticted point of view, lacking the intelligence of understanding anothers ideas, I am suprised that you have the ability to communicate with others. Then again my eight year old could log onto the internet and post something of that intellignce.
