sort of a meet/install day...shadow5606 will be coming over to my place to get my intake/exhaust from me, and we will be installing them while he is here...also, i will be getting some new springs, as my b&g are making rattling sounds in the rear, so we will probably install those as well...we'll get some beer, and ill get some burgers/hot dogs to grill some food...hopefully, some other people can come, even if youre a couple hours away to chill for the day...were gonna be gettin together on march 26th, so if you have anything youve been waiting to install, bring it and we'll all work to get everything done...i have air wratchet and impact gun and an air compressor, so if you have other air tools that may be beneficial, bring em! ive got a 3 car garage, with one spot open now (broke *** car in the other side) but should have 2 by then...im trying to get the broken car gone, since im done messing with it...

so, 2 car garage, beer, food, elantras...whos down?

hopefully close...right now, im trying to get ahold of bill at gude, to see about some modified injectors (400 or 440cc) to work with the ECU...i have enough for the ECU, so i just need a little more for the injectors, depending on how much they will cost...if bill cant help me out, it seems that im gonna have to fork out 400$ for injectors from someone, which i really dont want to if bill is modifying stock injectors

exhaust is covered, so i just have to talk with the couple people who will be helping me out the most to see when they want to do the install

and i gotta get the clutch in...300$ bleh...unless everyone wants to attempt it in a few weeks :)

yeah...there will be PLENTY of parking available...i actually live on a corner, so there is parking on both sides of 2 streets, plus the driveway, which can hold 5 cars or so...i think we could probably have 20 cars and be fine

Does any of you guys have tools that can trim plastic? my rear side panels above the speaker need trimming, since i have hte rear strut tower bar in my hatch they dont fit properly so that cover isnt attached its just swinging around

Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting the Jspeed underdrive pulley. NOT the water/power pulley set but just the underdrive pulley. Have any of you installed this before?? Haha well ive been bustin my *** to get my "driving priviledges" so that I could join the meet. So far I have been very unsuccessful in doin so! Haha long story, but I think I told ya over AIM the other night. Well I wouldnt have a problem driving seeing how I have insurance, but my tags are expired too, seeing how with suspension they restrict your plates too! so Im trying to get my moms 05 GK and atleast roll over there for a bit seeing how I only live like not even 10 mins from Gahanna!

Well I have 2 jack stands I can bring and I also have spring compressors if anyone is looking to lower their cars and do some spring or strut work. I dont have much for tools anymore, cuz my dumb *** left a bunch of them in my Del Sol when I wrecked that 2 years ago, and never retrieved them along with my $400 Blaupunkt head unit.

I do have to work on Sat until 3pm. I will most likely be off earily as usual and see what I can do about rolling over and playin with the guys. Ill give ya an update here soon or hit me up on AIM and we can chat about all this drama! If Im unable to make it, I dont live far, that you can pick up those tools and borrow what you need.

found out 1 keg = 15.5 gallons which equals about 165 12oz (bottle/can size) beers so if weve got 15 CARS coming, thats about 10 beers per car, and i dont know who is bringing other people, but there is an average

i dont think anyone is gonna be drinking to get smashed, but to have somethin to drink while we're grillin out/workin on the cars so you guys think this should be enough, and does everyone wanna do this, or would it be easier to go to the store and buy whatever you want (i know everyone likes somethin different)

Another place to check about the keg would be Walmart.... almost a hundred bucks seems really high to me..... I'm thinking the last keg I got was like $50-70

Also keep in mind that what most people think of as a keg is actually a 1/2 keg... and there are also 1/4 kegs....

hey guys, I'm gettin' a little spooked about doing the crank pulley install. Has anyone who's coming to the meet done one of these?

We're gonna need an impact wrench which I can bring but I think we might need to figure out a way to hold the pulley in place while we're removing the bolt on the crank. Also.. I found some torque specs for the belts but I don't have a tension gauge.... not sure how nescesarry that is anyway...

anyways.. just posting as I'm thinking. Hopefully someone will have done this before...

alright, I have an idea for another project...... cleaning my car......

Now, before you laugh and call me a lazy ***.... listen to my thinking....

My car is NASTY dirty right now, I've never waxed it, it has a dented rear bumper, I've never cleaned under the hood, etc. in 4 years/112,000mi. There are questions on the site from time to time about how to clean this, best way to wash that, etc.

SO...... we could take before pics, wash, wax and detail (taking lots of pics of course) and make a nice guide for how to clean up your car, dent pulling, detailing, waxing, cleaning the engine bay, etc. I know there had been mention of cleaner for exaust tips as well. We can list the products used, hints and tips... it would be a nice resource to have. And I am willing to write it.... unless somebody else really wants to. I can bring my laptop so we can take notes and we can work on it while the project is going on...

I thought my car would be a good example because it would make for a dramatic before and after.... believe me... it is really dirty right now....

lol... I need to do the same thing actually. If we want to do that really well hoaf we ought to use an orbital buffer. I've got a buddy who's giving me one and I'll see if I can bring it. I'd reccomend bringing some wash stuff, a claybar, some wax, and some 3M scratch/swirl remover.

btw: the astril kit will also be riding shotgun with me on the way down there. :)
