I was driving down Rt 66 here in VA and the factory spoiler on my 2003 Elantra GT Hatckback literally went flying off and clobbered some car behind me. I went ahead and taped up the 3 holes. I want something simple, not too fancy, but nicer than the factory one. Any recommendations? I use my car for on-call work so it can't be too pimping.

Are you serious? I would have been pissed off if a spoiler hit me while I was doing 70 on 66, crazy. I'd go to the dealer and tell them what happened, and ask for another one for free.

When you say "factory spoiler", are you referring to the black lip thing, or the high spoiler?

I have the black lip spoiler, and I'm planning on replacing it with the high spoiler. We're trying to get a group buy going for it, check out the thread a few threads down in this forum.

the dealership should definately replace that for free. and if you dont want it, just take it and sell it on here.

It was the black lip thing. My sunroof shade cover thingie went flying off about a year ago. I'm going to talk with the dealer tomorrow morning.

You probably go to Fairfax Hyundai, huh? I bought my car (and previous Accent) from Danny Lee up there, great salesman. Their Service dept really sucks these days though, I'm sticking to Manassas Hyundai from now on.

I've never dealt with the Parts dept there (well once I asked about the inside chrome door handles... bad idea to ask them), good luck with that.
