Out of commission for 3 months because of the freakin dealership in Seekonk taking their time and letting my car get broken in to (Yeah, not to happy about that one). But its all good because that was in January '04. Anyway I can't say that I've had any problems! I plan on keeping it until, well, I need to get a new one!

I actually got into a heated debate when the dealer was not willing to do some simple warentee work with missing rubber stoppers for the hood and doors & whatnot when he said my car had been 'repainted"...and the paint shop forgot to put them back on. ......to which I assured him it had not been repainted..

The dumb chit later admitted that it was not only the nice paint....bu the fact that my 03 had triple hole washer nozels.....so he thought a paint shop repainted my car and added them.

I cannot stress it enough .........rinse your car for a good 30 minutes prior to washing/scrubbing with soap. The more time you spend rinsing, the better the clear coat will look for years to come.

I'm gonna roll 47,000 on my '04 tomorrow while running errands. I'm already saving for my 60,000 service. I've had something replaced in the front end that was making a creaking noise, the upper portion of the driver's seat was replaced because of a broken lumbar support, one spark plug was replaced because of a cracked insulator, and replaced the weatherstipping on the driver's door, all under warranty and that's been it so far. Still on the original brakes, too. Overall, it's been a pretty good car. The scheduled service is a bit spendy though ... I wish the car had a timing chain instead of a belt.

I just remembered, I'm on my fourth set of headlights. :mad: My Elantra seems to think they are candy.

Thank god I bought the extended warranty.

about to hit 106xxx miles :D just changed the valve cover gasket and pcv valve yesterday. woo hoo. the car still runs strong, nice and clean cam shafts (no wear on the lobes) when i had the cover off. synthetic oil rocks.

I got a look at my cams about a month ago. With 135K, and yearly oil changes, the cams looked as good as new. Actually, everything under the valve cover looked almost new.
