So its been a while since I posted but here goes. So I'm zippin around hunting for a new job cuz the one I have sucks so I'm on my way home and theres alot of dump trucks that pass through this area hauling rocks and dirty and **** now mostly I get a chip in my windsheild from these ****ers. No that would have been to easy I'm doin about 40-45 mph and theres a truck comeing the other way. What do I see but a rock at the very least the size of my fist fly out of the back of this son of a ***** and slam right in to the front lip of my car! needless to say the lip is trash and the bumper has a nice crack in it here are a few pics .. enjoy.

Ouch. Not cool. Your insurance should cover it though. I had garbage fall out of a Garbage truck that passed me going the other way and it put a big dent in my hood. Insurance picked it up on my comprehensive coverage. No rates effected.

Did he have a tarp covering the load? I know in my state if something like that happens and they aren't using a tarp at all/properly, they are held liable for all damages. Hope you got the name of the company, you should've gotten the license plate ID too. Good luck on the job hunting.

Atomic is correct.....they, the hauling company, are liable for the damage no matter what part it is or who made it. not to put a bad picture in everybody's mind but, imagine if you were a motorcyclist?

Dam this sucks man, My advise to you is not to blame God, this will give you a lot of negative karma, you dont need that in your life right now, If you end up buying a new bumper you can probably get a deal or maybe just fiberglass it, Sorry about the lip I know ItaliaTib2K3 is dealing with this company maybe he can get you a replacement.

good luck

YevRPS, yes, I had to pay my $250 deductible on $600 of damage to my hood.

Well, if the insurance isn't going to cover the lip, what about the damage to the OEM bumper? Have them fix that, get rid of the damaged lip, grab the $33 front lips from dreamka4u, paint them and replace. The Astrel lip doesn't look that good anyway (IMHO).

hyun, he said that insurance won't cover the bumpre too cuz the damage could've been cause but an aftermarket part that was attached to it and hanging lower than then stock bumper

Company should be paying for your car
If they tell you anything otherwise you already know what to do!

If the actual bumper still took some of the damage that means that if the body kit wasn't there at all then the bumper still would have been struck by the foreign object.

If it was just your body kit that was damaged then your s.o.l. but i don't know about anyone else but when i picture a rock flying at his bumper without a bodykit it still would have hit and maybe caused worse damage to the bumper, but luckily that body kit was there to reduce some of the damage of the top of the rock.
thats just how i see it.
