i'm looking for an amp right now so i can get my friend back his, but i'm having a hardtime in choosing between a Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1, jl 500/1 or e1800d, or the new directed 800 or 1200. so which would be a better fit to power my jl10w7 off a pioneer deh-p3700mp HU, right now the temp amp is a soundstream tech reference 300. so let me know, and hopefully i can put some pics up soon.

Since the sweet spot for the 10w7 is 400-700w I would not go with the 250/1 its way too small and with that said I wouldn't go with teh JBL either I am just not a huge fan of their car audio stuff.
Now if you want to stick with all JL the 500/1 will do you real good and if you can swing the extra money the e1800d is a really nice amp you will have to gentle with it cause that amp will push 800-900w at 14.4 with a 3ohm load.
Another amp to consider is a Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1 it is rated at 600w but in reviews I have seen it push over 700w and it can be had for under $300 shipped on ebay, and IMHO it will sound a lot better than the 500/1. I can't say how it stacks up to the e100d as I have not had the pleasure of listening to one, but from what I have read its a really nice amp.
Hope that helps a lil.

thanks for the help, i was looking at the phoenix gold, but wasn't too sure bout it, and for the e1800 running from my car battery wouldn't it only run at around 12.5v or wat???

when you have the car turned off the voltage will be 12 volts or so. when you have your car turned on the voltage goes up to whatever your alternator charges at. usually at 14.4 volts
