Just out of curiosity, why would you wear those? I don't think you would be able to feel anything, much less, turn bolts or stuff like that. Maybe if your engine is still warm?

i like to wear gloves while im working sometimes...when you get one of those super tight bolts and it finally comes loose, i tend to get a lot of cuts on my hand from it hitting somewhere

also, its a good way to keep your hands clean...and before anyone says anything, i have tried multiple hand cleaners, but it always seems that i have grease/oil on my hands for a few days afterwards

I make sure to put on some hand moisturizer BEFORE working on my car, that way the gunk doesn't absorb into my skin so readily. If I do wear gloves while working on my car, I use surgical gloves.

As for cleaning my hands afterward if I do get them really grimy? Hot water and dish soap has always worked just as good as any commercial hand cleaner.

Mechanics gloves fit really tight and they are really thin, but very durable and grippy. They work VERY well.

Even with 6 dollar shipping it's a good deal I just bought 3 pairs (extra medium)

$6 shipping is good on 3 pairs, but not on 1.

And thanks for the revival James, my interest has peaked, again, into getting a pair. But like slyderdai just said, I think I may pick up more than one if shipping is going to be that much.

get a group buy and just ship them out for like whatever postage is? I think if you were just gonna buy one pair at that price, it wouldn't make sense to just buy one pair, stock up on the things, that way when one pair gets too gross, throw em out, and you're not out like 30 bucks.

Or, you can select the "pick up at store" option and not pay any shipping.

well none of the sears stores near me had them in stock so I made sure I was getting my money's worth out of shipping

none of mine are in stock either, should I get large or medium? I never had a pair of these so do they run smaller than regular gloves?

i already have a pair. they're great, but for small jobs, like oil changes, brakes, basic maintenance stuff i just use latex surgical gloves.

they fit well, and i've never had any problem with the being "large or bulky"
and for cornbread, i have gorilla hands, and normally wear x-large gloves, and their XL fit like, well, a glove!
