GK v6 Kill !

I went to Moroso last night with SED.
I drove the Alpine SCd XD and he drove my 6spd GK tiburon...

I beat him quite easily... 1st and 2nd gear were close, but once into 3rd i had him by 3 or 4 car-lengths by the end of the 1/4 mile... I did not get a chance to reset the ecu before the race, so I was 12-15 whp lower than peek and the torque was also severly hindered and I still managed to dust the GK ! I still give props to SED because he drove it very well considering that its not his regular daily driver...

we got there kind of late so it was outlaw time and we could not get in with the time-slip people... sorry :(

I plan to go again soon and get there much earlier and then I'll have a chance to get a new time slip with the blower.

BTW, the GK is all stock except for a short ram intake. We removed the spare tire so it was a few lb lighter. we both only had a little over a 1/4 of a tank of gas...

Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to weigh the tib or the xd .. but I'll do it next time for sure !

yeah definatly get an exhaust on that Tibby, and it will sure fly! Sounds like a good shot though! So about what #s are you pushing with your XD now? Ive seen so many of your posts, I cant tell whats recent anymore...... :(

Is it still considered a kill when you own both cars involved? Good stuff Ford! Was anybody at the track curious about what you were running after you dusted Shawn?

The race was fun, too many ricers though.... ;)

The GK moves though, I don't like the stock clutch at all, and my launches weren't what they should have been, since it was Ford's car and his wifey would kill me if I came back with a slipping clutch.

Steve's car moves fellas, really pulls....

I feel bad for SED , the only time he's ever beat me was when I installed the Kspec Air-Scam manifold. .. he whopped my A$$ so easy ! hahaha

oh, and the one time we swapped cars and I drove his .. he beat me with my own damn car ! LOL
