Ok, I know that offset has been beaten to death about what will fit but I don't remember anybody going as low as 35mm. Is this possible with a 17x7 wheel? My suspension is stock for now but I wouldn't mind getting h&r in the future but I don't want to have to deal with rubbing then.

I also used that calculator http://www.mindspring.com/~toy4two/offset.html
to check to see if it would stick out further than my 18x7.5 with 42mm offset. It says that the outside edge would only stick out 1 mm extra? Is this true?

I would like to go to 17s because of all of the construction and such and get a beefier tire. I like the look of 215/45/17 but once again, don't know if I'll deal with rubbing issues.

Anybody have any specs close to this (info about 17s) and what they're dealing with? Thanks for the help...

I'm running 215/45/17 (40mm offset) No rubbing for me... If I remember correctley the stock offset is 36 so you'd not be that far off... Hopefully someone w/ a 35mm offset will chime in here.

I noticed that Josh K has 17s (35 offset) with 215/45 and h&r...basically what I want. Anybody know if he had/has problems with rubbing or anything else? Thanks guys.

I can guarantee you will rub. I have a 38mm offset w/ 215/45/17 and rub. It takes one passenger(in back) and a light bump, or no passenger and a hard fast bump to rub.

I planned on rolling the rear fender lips this summer, should get me just enough clearance.

So, unless you plan on modifying your car physically, you WILL rub.
