My dad was telling me on my lunch break that he heard about a contest by dodge. From what he told me, they are giving away HEMI engines. You take the HEMI and put it into your car. The stipulation is that it cannot be what you would ordinarily think about dropping a HEMI into (such as throwing it in your old Charger). The winner gets a new car. I don't know anything else. I don't know if the winner is the most original, or the best 1/4 mile, or anything like that.

Anyone heard anything about this?

(and no, I'm not asking if I can swap a hemi into my XD, lol).

Sounds cool. My friend just bought a 240sx w/o an engine. Maybe he should swap in a HEMI instead of the sr20det. :)

Upon reading - they don't give you an engine unless you're one of the 5 finalists. Too bad. I would've had one bad @ss garage door opener.

Ah, OK. Not exactly what I was expectiing.

I still think a HEMI-powered 240sx would be cool. :cool:

Err... hmm... you could also make a HEMI garbage disposal.

Thinking about it, you could probably adapt that engine to a number of 'home' applications. All of our well pumps, water towers, and lift stations have backup electric generators. Those generators are powered by Ford V8s that have been adapted to run on natural gas.

hmm. Now I'm feeling inventive. It's free to enter.

Haha, exactly. You remember when he made a gas-powered garbage disposal on Home Improvement? He fed it hocky sticks and tree branches. It was great.

What? And slow the Cooper down? The Cooper can already burn anything that ever had a Hemi in it, and get better gas mileage doing it.

Hemi powered ceiling fans! Just think if the in-laws piss you off you can set them on winter setting(recirculate) and suck the mother in law in to the blades!
