In one of the steps you say to drill a hole and install a led.?. Why if one wasn't there before why do you need one know? Shouldn't you just replace the ones that were there before? :phone:

That's what I'm thinking, use superglue to remove the green film and then just replace the 3 194s with the color you want... I want to try it but I don't want to destroy my HVAC if it doesn't look good cause I couldn't go back to the way it was!

Yeah I didn't see any pics in his thing that looked like there was any drilling or where to do it? I think some people should learn the old acronym K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid)
Cause I don't want to screw it up either but I might buy a new one from hyundai and try it that way if it's not too expensive

Jeffzilla... It's an LED conversion, there arent any old ones, it works with bulbs. You need somewhere to mount them, hence where the holes come from.
Also, if you want something to look good, you have to work for it. Don't say something is too complicated, it just looks like it because you're too lazy ;) There are a lot of people here and in other forums who have done this before and it works very well!
Ask ilanpro, he can make you a conversion for a small fee and in exchange of your HVAC unit (if he still does it, i dunno, PM him).

yeah I just looked up the hvac controller it's too expensive. Also I wasn't saying that I didn't believe it wouldn't work. Also didn't know there were no old leds the steps in diy didn't say that. And as far as too complicated I'm an aircraft avionics technician in the usaf. And for lazy try running new aircraft pieces to a plane in Iraq. So I'm not trying to start an argument and the acronym thing was a joke but a good one to live by none the less. But I probably will do this convert anyway.
