colum gauge pod

just wondering if any one has taken off the top part of the colum, if there is enough room to put wires I want to make something likelike this (http://modernperformance.com/dcx/pl2k_columnpod1.jpg)
except with the gauges flush mounted like the pillar pod, and at an angle so they don't block the inst cluster, I just don't know how, or what to use

I've removed the column cover a few times already, and i'm pretty sure there is enough space under there to route your wires. I think about half-inch to an inch in space under the plastic cover.

that sounds like enough room maybe I can get carbon to make these maybe a group buy
