I have seen all the cat backs on sale for the elantra and I feel they are just a bit out my budget. I was wondering if there is any chance of a cat back exhaust from another car being installed onto the elantra, like people are doing with the honda accord CAI. IM thinking maybe I can find it on ebay and then just install it Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh and any elantra recomended exhaust would be helpful to. Again any suggestions?
Thanks for your time!!!

considering that every car has different exhaust routing, rear suspension, and a multitude of factors. Im going to say its like finding a needle in a haystack, but good luck. Why not go to a local mom and pop muffler shop and have them fabricate you a setup? Should be cheaper, just have them do mandrel bent, not crush bent.

You will not be able to make a catback for another car work without it costing the same or more than a Elantra specific catback or a custom job.

Anyone have any guesses as to what kind of hp or torque increase I might see from swapping out my cat for a straight-through pipe? Been looking at the ssx autocrome race-cat on ebay. Of course I would be putting the stock cat back in when it comes time for a smog check :)

lookin at 1-2 hp maybe, because you still have the first cat.

not worth it in my opinion without changing the header

I personally have never seen a "local mom and pop muffler shop" that does mandrel bending. It is an extremely expensive machine. There is only 1 place of like a 50 mile radius from me that I know does it and they charge an arm and a leg. I got a custom crush bent set up for $175 and am very, very pleased with it (my 5th time going to that particular shop).

I have seen evofusion exhausts for so cheap that you'd want to slap yourself. especially considering that some charge upwards of $600 for similar products

The cheapest one I found on ebay so far is $245? Is this cheap? I havnt found out how much a custom job would cost but this price is decent!
