On a side note
this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7966593056&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT) guy is selling hoses on ebay for 97-01 I4 Tibs. It looks like maybe they could be made to fit. I think this has been discussed some time ago. If not, I bet they would make us some.
