I know a lot of you have had problems with vibrations in the steering wheel at highway speed. Well, I've had this problem for a long time. For several months it was caused by a bent wheel from my last set of 17's. Then I bought new 16's and I thought that would be the cure.
But something was still wrong. I spent some time researching and diagnosing. I finally jacked up the front of the car and got the wheels spinning to inspect them myself. Both of the front tires were out of round! They must have been this way since I first bought them. It's like the sidewall was damaged or there was some sort of defect. The guy at the shop thought I flat spotted them, but I don't think that's it. Anyway, I got two new Yokohama AVS ES100's for $28 thanks to my replacement warranty. Now the car rides smooth again. :)
