I hear there is going to be a car show and also racing. I am going to run my car as well. Never been to the track before, I heard that you have to launch our cars at a higher RPM because the track has better grip than the street. Is this true? I launch at 2k on the street, what should i launch at?. Hoping to be close to mid 15's also,
Plan to add a custom straight pipe exhaust before sunday as well

What tires you have? I normally launch at about 2100rpms and slip the clutch to 4000rpms before I floor it. With good tires I was able to launch at 2400-2500rpms.

This weekend Sunday...
I was thinking about putting my friends 18's on the rear of my car and keep the 14s in the front. Reason being because my rear tires are shot and could blow at any time. Are there any negatives or positves in doin this? I hope to have a video as well.

18s will be very heavy. You will most likely not get any traction with your bald tires.

Yea i know,
so im putting new 14's in front and new 18's in back
im thinkin the car is going to be on a angle towards the front. Would this benefit at all? I understand the 18's will be heavy however they are in the rear

lol, what does the rear wheel weight have to do with the crank.
the bigger wheels in the rear will be a little harder to get rolling, but the increased mechanical advantage you get on them should balance it out.
basically, I wouldnt worry much about the weight of the rear wheels (at least not much more than I'd worry about the weight of sound stuff, seats, etc)

i think he was referring to weight period...any added weight to the vehicle will hurt your time....and rolling advantage has nothing to do with the rear tires...if anything when running the quarter you want smaller tires to shorten up your gears...hence go faster
