Hey guys I just installed my EvoFusion CAi today but the car feels the same??, maybe even slower? It sounds great though. could this be possible or am I just anticipating too much gain?

BTW many thanks to SED who helped me with the install via TELEPHONE... the long distance charges was the definitely worth it. :)

gains aren't gonna be super crazy and barely noticable unless you know how you car drives reeeeaaaaly well. the sound is the obvious, mpg but mine went down for the first couple of month cuz i'd ride out each gear longer just to hear that thing. and yes reset the ecu

yUP i reset the ecu, I had to unhook the battery and remove it.

this is what I noticed so far:

1) bad acceleration @ low RPM's
2) there is a slight vibration @ idle.( very noticeable)

Are these normal conditions or did I do something wrong? I have to find my camera before I can post pics.

Check all vaccuum hoses, make sure the filter is TIGHT, make sure all fittings are tight.

To me it sounds like the coupler to the throttle body is loose and you are getting waay too much air escaping.

shawn :)

call me if you need help

my acceleration imporved and no vibration just a very slight radle noise but that's probably the fillter hitting thi bumper on the inside or the pipe hitting a little against the opening under the battery

everything looks 100% fine to me.

Maybe you just have to let your ECU learn the flow of this new intake.

drive it around for a few more days and see if it gets better.

: )

Also, if you have any part of your intake rubbing on the metal parts of the car, you better do something about it quick or you'll end up with a hole in your intake and a bunch of metal shavings getting into your motor...

to protect the parts that touch, use some rubber pices like from an old silicone coupler with some epoxy ... that will prevent the intake from rubbing on the metal parts.

:)

looks like your PCV hose is just barely hanging on.

I doubt that's your problem, but put the damn thing on anyway.

That's the furthest it will go.... I tried my *** off forcing it but that's the furthest it will go, I called EvoFusion and they said that piece is extra long to make sure that the stock hose fits properly. It's actually a lot better now I guess the ECU took a while before it recognized the intake. I'm gonna put the bypass valve soon though at that time I'll double check everything. :)

Most people do lose low end torque with an aftermarket intake, so don't worry about the loss of power in the lower rpm's.
