I was browsing the Kspec website, and came upon the avante airram. As i was reading, it claims for N/A tuned cars you will get a horsepower upgrade of 15-20 hp. Is this true? Does anyone have one of these installed and actually noticed a difference? Thanks. Sean

No it's not true.

Ford tried it and hated it. However, a few guys at RDtib.com like it.

Do a search.

To get the claimed gains you would need more mods than what FF was running. With a set of cams and a real header you would see some nice numbers.

I honestly have not seen one RD that actually proven RAMAIR manifold to work like they advertise it. Couple people have it, and only one dynoed and it showerd no HP gain and 12TQ gain, but supposobly there was something wrong with his car, so I don't even consider that a real measurment.

Also, there is a guy that lives close to me and I saw him race at the track, he could not get out of 16s with CAI, headers, exhaust, and airram manifold, and he got good traction, so can't blame on that.

I say wait until a bunch of people recieve their manifold(they just had a GB) and see if the gains will really show up. Until then, I honestly do not think that it's worth $600.

Easily man! You just gotta know your car! Give me couple more months and I'll be running mid 14s all day long N/A!

Here is a slip for ya, freshly scanned :)

They are not the best headers you can get, but for the price I paid I'm very happy.

My tiburon weighs just as much as XD, maybe 50lbs difference.

David posted on the RD site regarding the air ram.
I believe, he does NOT use one on his tib.

That IM would be perfect for a turboed car, or one with crazy cams. In terms of your current mods, I would bone up for a cam or a pair of cams before I got the Air Ram.
