Hey,
I am definetly a newbie and did not know where to post this question.
well here it goes, I found a number of electronic chips and stuff to tap into your elantra elctrical system and release a few horses. However, im not sure which ones are good or even if they are usable for my 03 elantra. Also, can you tell me wheter I can use some of these in combination with one and another? Also, please explain what they are if you can
any info is good!!! please help

Those "chips" are resistors that do nothing. They try to fool the stock ecu into thinking the is more air coming into the engine making the car run rich which the XD already does in stock form. Running rich will not inprove the performance and it will decrease you mpg.

all of them are resistors as you put it, every single one of them???

None of them will improve the horsepower??

Wow, sure fooled me!!
I was getting excited to, so will a more expensive version of these little "resistors" improve my horsepower, or are all of the computer chips basically good for nothing???????
Help its a learning process
by the way thank you

oh ok everything is pretty much clear to me now, this so called "resistor" would only maybe benefit if you have a majorly modded car, otherwise it will just ruin your MPG. you guys are the best teachers ever!!

Ok, I think this is right, but someone correct this if I make a mistake in the explaination.

A resistor is there, and regulates the electrical signals which are sent. This signal tells the ecu what the temp of the incoming air is currently, and adjusts the amount of fuel that is injected.

Basically, you're just telling your engine that it is colder than it really is.

Those are all trash. Read that thread that was already posted and you'll be set. Nothing that cheap (or expensive... they are trying to trick you) is going to give high gains in power.

Yeah, forgot to add in my previous post that they suck. The only cars that I've actually seen results in was a TDI.

Oh and toto... we don't have TDIs.

Hell, are cars aren't even german. :-P

For one of these they have dyno graphs, I believe its the zero gravity one! Maybe thats just fake or maybe this might work.

Check it out
