First post on this forum. Just bought a 05 Elantra GT. I am used to having GM's
and being able to tune the ECU with my laptop. Software I can't find for the Elantra yet. I am looking for some 16" wheels but want light weight. The lightest I have found is 14.4lbs, anything out there lighter?
Any help appreaciated

It's hard to find light 16" wheels that will fit this car and are somewhat reasonably priced. My 16x7" Enkei RS-5's are 17.7 pounds. The other wheels I was considering were the Konig Holes (http://www.concept1.ca/images/Konig%20Holes%20Silver.jpg) which were a pound or so lighter, but I didn't like the look of them as much.
One of my top choices would have been the older SSR Integral's (http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/TireWheel/images/ssr_integral.jpg) but they've been discontinued for awhile.
If you're looking for something lighter the only advice I can give is to check out www.wheelweights.net.

Centerline makes 15" and 17" wheels... but no 16's.

I think Kosei and BBS make 17"s that fit and are light. Gonna cost some bucks tho. Going to 17" is probably your best bet. There is not a great selection of 16" and most of the 15" are in the 4x100 bolt pattern. I got 11lb 15" but they are 38mm offset.

no one with an elantra wants to pay for volks, oregun =P
arent they like a kazillion dollars?
but I am envious of your 4lb/wheel advantage!
edit: holy crap man, you're crazy! I just looked up pricing for those, and it looks like you payed more for just 2 of those wheels than I did for 4 wheels and tires to put on them.
(ok, not really, but I saw them listed for like $390 PER WHEEL!)

Did you get the 16's or the 17's? I've always loved the styling of the TE37's better than the CE28, but the TE37 only came in 17's with a 40mm offset. I wasn't sure if that would fit correctly so I went with the CE28 and got 17's with a 43mm offset.

Ha-Ha. Us Elantra Owners are definately a bunch of cheap asses!
Have you ever looked at the GB sections on NT and RD - the action there is 50 times more than us.
I actually got all 4 wheels for $800. Yes, I'm a cheap *** too - always on the lookout for a good deal. Kinda like my headers!!
I have the 16 inch wheels. I decided it was the best balance of performance. I kinda wanted 17 inch Centerline RPM's @ 13.1 lbs each. The roads in Chicago just suck too much for 17's.

Those are outstanding deals. If I were in the market for 16's, I'd get em.

Hmmm... how do you think the white ones would look on my White '05 GLS?

I want white rims but I don't know what spoke pattern I want, or if I would rather have 16's or 17's.
