So, I'm in the middle of changing all of my brakes (which is a bigger pita than I thought) and we get to the third tire and can't get one lug off. I have the stupid lugs that require a key that goes into it and well that was stipped. So, I used a T60 bolt, that works really well. But only problem is...when my mechanic put my wheel back on, he stripped the inside of my lug nut by using air gun...after I asked him not to. Anyway...anyone have any idea as to how I can get this stupid lug off? )I have new lugs that won't give me this problem) Who said that changing the brakes only took 2 hrs?? Hyundai bolts suck

well, if you can, just snap the lug off and replace it later. theyre like 5$ for the lug and the nut from the dealer. if you want to put another tuner lug on, thats you. replacing the stud isnt hard.

HAHA! I had similar problem with my tuner lugs that I got off ebay. The key cracked after trying to put on 8th lug.... I cut the top part of the key and used it to unscew them and used stock lugs...
What kind of lugs is it? one with the hexagon inside? Go to home depot and buy some similar piece of metal, hammer it in and try to unscrew it.

Take it back to that mechanic and tell them they're going to fix it because they're the one that broke it.
TACK WELD a piece of steel to it and turn it right out.

Hyundais dont suck, the Mechanic does :D I hope he is not doing your turbo
yeah tuner lugs = 70 ft-lbs with a hand torque wrench.
Impact gun + tuner lugs = death to the lugs every time.

LOL i actually meant the bolts on that hold th calipers and stuff. For some reason alot of them give me a hard time trying to get them off. One anothernote, techincally it wasn't my mechanic but one of the people who work there put the tire on. But I'm going to let him know.
Thanks for the help.

i put motor oil on my studs and a bit in the lugs to keep them from stripping and such.
