It's a 2005, silver with black leather. It had 7 miles on it when we got it. The TL is based on the Accord platform but has a bigger 3.2L V6 engine with 270hp. The transmission is a 5 speed automatic. Unfortunately the manual wasn't an option since both my parents had to be able to drive it & my mom can't drive a standard. The XM radio is amazing & the stock sound system has excellent sound quality. It's going to be tough getting back into my Elantra with boring old AM/FM. This thing is well put together & a great overall value for the money.

it's really nice but did you get a chance and look @ the G35? I really liked the G35 at the autoshow. Not that it matters now :)

I think they looked at the G35. The RWD would have been nice but overall they liked the Acura better. Plus there are 2 Acura dealerships around here & only 1 Infiniti dealer & it is a bit further away. They were also concerned that perhaps the resale on the Infiniti wouldn't be quite as high as the Acura. The Acura also had everything standard except the navigation system where Infiniti offered a lot of packages making it harder to get all the options you wanted.

I would put the TL ahead of the G35 in almost every catagory. If I could afford it, the TL would be in my garage, hands down.

I'm around TL's all day long (Acura dealer and all). Great car. Word to the wise: If his car has the Bridgestones ( Looks like it will) either be prepared for them t only last 15k miles or buy some new ones quick. They are noisey, ride like crap and are junk. I have an upstairs room FULL of warrantied tires because they have belts seperate.
Other than that, great car and great buy!

i love the TL, looks sweet man. i like the G35 better though, 280 ponies with the auto and almost 300 with the standard. still love the TL though.

My uncle has a late 04 TL in the deep red metallic and it is sex on wheels. If only I had the moolah.....sigh.

I really like the TL as well. The one with the factory lip kit and lip spoiler is really nice looking. In fact, I'm liking all of the Acuras lately (besides the face lifted RSX).
One thing though, there is like 1308415234 TSX and TL's around here it's crazy. Must be a really cheap lease, I think.

I liked the TSX (or should I say Euro-spec accord). There aren't too many of them around by me. I did fit rather well inside the car when I tried one on at the auto show. Some day I'll be able to afford a nice luxury ride like the TL. Hopefully by that time, it'll be made by Hyundai.

do you think it's any coincidence that the new Sonata looks like the TL... at least IMO

I agree there are some similarities in the front end to the TL. The rear end of the Sonata looks like a knock-off of the current generation Accord as well. From the side it has the profile of a VW/Audi IMHO. I'm really looking forward to hearing more about it as it's probably along the lines of what I'll be looking at next time. If it is available with a V6 manual transmission I'll be the first one in line.
