I am about to re-enlist for the army and get a NICE chuck of change.. heh. Anyway, I was planning on bottle feeding the elantra and putting it down on eibachs. Heres the thing. I found out today Im about to be promoted to Sergeant. Cool eh? Maybe. To get the promotion Ill have to make a 600 mile trip (all around) to make drill, once a month. This wouldn't be that big a deal but I drive the elantra for work and put about 40k on it in just over a year. The thing is for the money I have in the budget I could do a little better with my N/a mods (Already planned) and instead of running Nitrous run Tein coilovers. Same price for what I was going to do. It would be more reliable but have a stiffer ride on that long haul. I have to have a working car. I wouldn't want to be AWOL because I got spray happy one weekend and sent a piston thru the track. Not only that but I could get into autoXing more so with the teins and no nitrous. Ive drag raced for some time and would like to do something a little more involved. Im going to do something. Just need some help making up my mind. What would you do?

Last note: Wife is getting a car finally so the milage will drop off some on the elantra. The sonata will be the faimly cruize around ride when I get back. Elantra becomes toy/work car.

I'd skip the nitrous. It's not worth the risk to your engine, plus it only helps a few seconds out of a given week depending on how much you race, whereas other N/A mods work all the time. If you go with the Teins, I'm sure you could soften up the ride a bit with the stock rims and touring tires for long trips.

My opinion, if you can get Teins, get Teins. :)

I do like to drag race and its hard to match the gains for the price, thatsone of the reasons I was thinking about spraying. Can't use it on an autoX course, so one reason its not good. Also Im not going to go crazy with N/a mods. Just switching to a full CAI (running SRI now), a insulating gasket, etc.. of course keeping the exhaust and UDP, but nothing huge. So itll be a mid-upper 15sec car and not a lower 14sec car like it could be. Go fast or turn fast... still thinking on this one. Anyone actually running teins giving these opinions?
