Alright, since I haven't been on the site much, do to lack of computer and internet at my new house, I haven't been that up to date on some things on the site, including the latest TSB's etc and warranty stuff for work on my car. Before my car gets done up this year (no I haven't had the time to put anything on yet  ) I'd like to take the car in to the dealer 1 time soon to look at everything that I have missed, i.e. the exhaust manifold etc. Having the car almost stock but for side skirts gives me the perfect opportunity to go in as they can still work on the car without damage to anything. I think my warranty for the car ends this October as well.

Do the airbags TSB apply to us in Canada too? Because I moved I don't think I changed my address at the dealer right away (it has been changed now), thus if I missed any notifications - I wouldn't have a clue and am asking for everyones help as some Canadian TSB's do not include some of the US ones, and vise versa. We all know the dealership nutbars don't know much if you call and ask, so I wanna be armed with info before hand, especially since I don't have any paperwork mailed to me for backup. Thanks muchly.

what on earth are you talking about?

check out http://www.mycarstats.com/console.asp

It did not list the exhaust manifold recall/tsb, might be too new.

You could check out carfax too, but it'll cost ya $19.99

Haha, the 'muffler belt' was from a discussion on another forum that was posted here awhile back. So, uh, don't worry about that one.

XTRA... Although, the dealer won't be able to lift your car due to the side-shirts, no?

You'll need more of a roll-on kind of lift, like where they do anti-rust treatments, I remember you telling us that once.

Anyhow, good luck, and if your warranty is almost gone, MAKE SURE you dont need the corroded door harness TSB which costs 1250CAD out of the pocket. Ask them to checkout your factory door seals so it wont happen to you!!

xtra,

If you PM me your vin I will go check out hyundaidealer.com and I will check all the TSB's on your vehicle, canadaian or not.

But, just so you know the TSB's on your year are:

Exhaust manifold cracking
3800 stumble/warm ambient start
Automatic transmission shift reprogram
Airbag Reprogram
Door harness
Door seal wind noise

Thanks shawn, I'll send you the info a little later.

Kewl - with the side skirts and it not being lowered, their lifting mechanism should still be ok to clear the skirts and not crack anything, although I'll be supervising when it goes up just in case. All my other work gets done at a shop I drive onto for the lift, that's why I'm deciding to do this without any mods added to the car right now.

felix - me offline, you mean you offline. :)
