No real good rpg's on the haxbox "ie final fantasy , .hack//sign" Plus on almost every sports game it's easier to use the ps2 controller. A retarded ogre made the xbox controller.

I edited the poll.

And picked Gamecube. Although I love Halo 2 on Live, it's the most addicting game ever.

I like PS2 also, there are a lot of good PS2 games. It's too bad I can't afford all 3 and all the games I want.

In fact, I haven't bought a new game since Resident Evil 4 on January 11. I did however, buy the new maps on Halo 2, but that doesn't count.

I think I'm getting old, but more likely it's that I just don't have as much time as I did when I was in school.

This is hard to answer, they all have their pros and cons. I am guessing that when you say playstation you are referring to ps2. We have all of them, but I have to say I play ps2 the most although I think the graphics of xbox is the best.

I have a nice Slim PS2, I rather have the small console versus the HUGE X-Box. I'm just a Playstation Fan, I have 2 original Playstations, I had a original PS2 which I gave to my bro, so my parents gave me the cash for a new slim one for Christmas.

My favourite game console? A PC coupled with my wireless logitech rumblepad2. Sweetness. Emulators work a treat too for "console only" games, and I mainly play with my TV as the monitor.

My last console was a PS1, never really played it too much though because I've always been a PC game junkie.

My favorite is the Xbox. And I think my new favorite will be the Xbox 360 (http://xbox360.ign.com/). Every game will be in high-definition & 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround with the new Xbox. :)

Yep same here. I plan on picking one up around the first of the year. I'll wait till the Christmas hysteria is over. ($399 X-Box's going for $600-800 on E-bay so the kiddies don't cry on Christmas day)

And the ps3 that will come out next year is projected to have all that and more. The PSP is supposed to have some kind of functionality "rumor mill" and speaking of them, it's going to be more like a desktop computer always leave it on type deal.

I still think the xbox 360 was a retarded name. They should have called it like xbox squared or something. Controllers look like they will be a lot easier to use but I don’t see how your are going to be able to play the older games on it like they said you would be able to…

Will Xbox 360 be backwards compatible?
The problem with backwards compatibility is that the original Xbox ran on an nVIDIA graphics processor. When software makes calls to a chipset to produce visuals it uses code specific to that hardware. Xbox 360 runs on an ATI graphics chip meaning that code from last generation games will need to be recompiled or emulated in order to work on the system. Does this mean that consumers will have to chuck their beloved Xbox libraries? Not necessarily. There is a chance that Xbox 360 will have the ability to emulate the old system, though nothing has been announced as of yet.

It'll probably use some sort of emulator, at least that's what I'm hearing.

I'll tell you what, my *** won't pay $400 for ANY system... that's crazy. Most likely the Nintendo "Revolution" will be the least expensive, which is the best for me. Also, they are talking about out of the box free WiFi, should be interesting to say the least. We'll see. Xbox 360 looks promising too, I feel bad to say it, but PS3 is looking too much like PS2 for me to get excited about quite yet.

PS2 just because of GT3/GT4, otherwise I'm all for PC-gaming. Although, I've trying to replace gaming time/money with my XD
