People, This is a review of Sumitomo HTR+ on my new tiburon. Size is 215 x 45 x 17". But I think my experience would be similiar on an xd. That said...
Hot Damn!!! These are freaking awesome tires! Equal to if not better than the Contential conti extreme contacts I had on my BMW - those I considered the best tires I ever drove on.
I bought them because I was looking for good all season tire, and had little faith in the stock Michelin Pilots in rain, and no faith in them for this coming winters snow.
I think this is the 4th full set of tires I basicially have bought based on tirerack.com survey numbers - and I have not been disappointed yet. They are a little better on dry road, and a LOT better in light, to heavy rain. And they are very quiet. Noise level was not a big factor for me, but its nice to have regarless.
I think you can not go wrong with these tires in dry to light snow. I'll try to remember to update after I drive these in the snow this winter.
