Hi All, this is the first time that I have added anything like an amp and sub to a car that I've owned (usually would just stick with stock), but I wanted an MP3/WMA player, so I replaced my HU with a Kenwood system and replaced the rear speakers. Sounds pretty good now, but I want to add an amp and sub.

Now I've bought a 12 inch sub from Circuit City (BOGO - the other one is going in my wife's car) and have an amp on its way. My question is, does anyone have a suggestion as to where to locate the amp and what kind of box everyone is using...my intent is to build a speaker box, but trying to get some ideas as to where to locate it and any design help is appreciated.

(Don't know if this makes much of a diff. but I'm installing this into my GT Sedan.)

Thanks

I built a standard box for my sub and it just sits there in the middle of the trunk
I have my amp mounted on the back of my passenger side seat also
Works good

This is a standard sub cabinant from a Tib. I figured on getthing it. I have seen someone who made their own just like it for their Elantra.

you can put it in the back, mount the amp on the seat. and put the box in front of it, i think the passenger side is the one where only one seat folds? i'm not sure. its really personal preference.
