my next project is buying a ricer-racer type exhaust tip and pipe. i don't know if anything will fit and some help/tips would be great. is it worth it (money wise and time wise) to get the pipe, or just to get the tip to make it go vroom? i would have to get it professionally done cuz i'm clueless. :(
forgot the model and type: 03 GLS. the current tip is really wierd, its tucked under the rear bumper, and i can barely see it. would i have to have that cut out to make a bigger one fit?

I take it you're mostly looking to get a better sounding exhaust note. In that case, buy your fart can of choice and take it to your local muffler shop. Have them remove the stock muffler and replace it with the fart can. Might wanna think about trimming the bumper a little so the can isn't so close to the ground. Good Luck.

Don't say fart can like it sounds bad, our cars aren't honda's b :)
But yeah, I would suggest to at least re-do the third ''branch'' of the exhaust with some cursh bends so you can easily swap it in and out if you don't like it. Def cut your bumper, it looks better that way.

hmmm, that sounds cool, my 'fart can' should cost like 150 bucks installed with trimming the bumper? no need for the full pipe?

whoa. 150$? muffler- 40$ muffler shop to weld it- 50$. you dont have to cut the bumper unless youre lowered. when i had my EF exhaust, it was fine until i lowered it, it started scraping when i wasnt careful. dont get an overly large muffler and itll be alright. and a lot of shops wont cut your bumper due to liability. theyll tell you to cut it yourself or take it to a body shop. again, not necesary on stock suspension. my old EF exhaust w/o cutting the bumper

I didn't mean it in a bad way. To each their own. Hell I can't talk, I got a big aluminum wing on my car. Tons of people hate those thing. Anyway, I've always called them fart cans...no matter if I see them on a Honda, Nissan, Mitsu, Mazda....you get the idea.
Cody, if you're ONLY looking for an improved sound, then it should only cost you about $50 for the labor and however much the fart can costs. If you want larger piping from the cat back, then it'll be more.

im not gonna reccomend the "loudest", mainly in part that i dont want you to embarass yourself or anyone else riding in the car, or embarass someone driving the car next to you. get a 2.25" megan n1 style muffler on ebay. theyre like 50$ sound nice
And they do surprisingly help performance a little. I got mine put on and re-set the ECU, and I noticed a BIG difference in how the car pulled. I liked it! :)

You noticed a difference because the stock muffler has a flange on the inside to produce back pressure for emissions. That doesn't help performance at all.
