I have the motor going into my accent on June 6th and just need some ideas on what performance mod to do next? I already have the obx 4-2-1 header installed and a short ram intake. The motor I have is 02 Elantra 2.0l dohc.

Thanks Ben

what model and year accent do you have ?

what trans will you be using ?

who is doing the work for you ?

how much is it costing you ?

if you are doing it yourself, what do you plan to do in regards to the passenger side motor mount ?

Take pictures of EVERYTHING you have and post them on this thread. feel free to use my web server to host the pictures. Register for FREE @ http://www.nitrousworld.com then use the UPLOAD FILES link to upload the files then copy the link one by one and post them on this thread.

He'll be putting this BetaII into an Accent. Will the Tib Brake Upgrade still work?

Do some cams, no one has done that yet. I would say lightened flywheel but you are running a different tranny than most of us.

How about a good high performance muffler for the betaII?

Thanks

Yeah, they have 4x100.

In that case, you'll need the wheel hubs from the xd or a j2 elantra and THEN it will swap.

It seems that people are getting the best results with a 3-Chamber type muffler, like the Dynomax 3-Chamber Turbo muffler that can be had for about $35.

6650rpm on the rev-limiter.. :)

And in my opinion, that 6500rpm rev limiter is annoying. I hit it all too often in first gear. Perhaps I'm just lazy and "forget" to shift lol, but I swear there is some power between 6500 and 7200 that our car's could benefit from!! Anyways, sorry to get off-topic

With cams and a dyno tune. Look at the dynos power dies right at red line.

lol, if you tried to drag it to 7200rpm, you're just spinning the piss out of it for no reason. power falls off rather acutely after 6,000 with stock cams.

I think any shift really after 6000 rpms is useless if you look at my dyno you can see the power start falling

Is there any other car model that the light weight pulleys would fit onto this motor?
