Wheel paint idea tell me what you think

Ok I've got an 02 GT that is the frickin chianti red (wine red) don't really like the color but can't afford to paint right now. So I'm thinkin of painting the stock rims a bright yellow just to do something different. But only the fronts of the spokes and leaving the center and the insides of the the spokes silver and then taping off and painting the raised hyundai emblem on the center yellow. I have a pic I did with ms paint just to get an idea I'll upload when I get off work. Well tell me what you guys think. :phone:

That sounds pretty ugly, seriously. It you matched them with the Chianti it would probably look good though, if done correctly.

i think it would look like crap. either spend money on a nice set of rims, or a paint job instead of ricin out the car.

Yellow and Chianti Red....I don't think the two colors would mesh well. Maybe painting those parts of the rim a glossy black...I dunno. I'd save up some money and just buy a nice set of rims.

yellow only looks good on a car if the whole car is yellow.... or black.... that's it.



ok, maybe blue... but that's pushing it.....

Don't want black too played out. Everyone has done it. I've thought of blue to match the gauges but just didn't think it would bring out the wheels enough. And no not piss and wine it's wine and cheese :D

UGLY!!!! OMG Outline the edges w/ Red would look good... Why don't u do Neon Green..if u want to be unique.

actually I just got done with a neon green one to see what it looks like and I'm going to do a blue one too just to see how it would look

HAHA..that last one, you come drivin, its gonna be like "here comes BARNEY!!!" hell no. save up and just get some nice rims. dont paint those. caus i bet youll be able to sell those if you get rims, and if you paint em some goofy color, no one will buy em

there in lies the problem though. I don't want to buy rims I like the hyundai rims. I like the h in the middle. Everyone runs out and gets rims black or polished aluminum and yes there are a lot but when you get right down to it they are all pretty much just a variation of a few different styles unless you go really extravagant and have a set custom cut. So I want to do something no one else or at least very few other people have done. And Barney is purple not red. Like I said though I'm still not sure what color I'm gonna do still looking at green, yellow, or blue to match the gauges. Cause whatever color I do will set the theme for the rest of the dress up stuff I do with the car. I'm gonna see what I can do over time on a budget. A cai is coming soon.
