I bought a 94 accord CAI from auto zone it was a one piece and it did not fit. Not only were the bends not right( if i just set it in how it wanted to...i'd have to relocate the battery..) The tube was also too big for that lil oval hole to fit into the front part of the wheel well. can anyone help me w/ this problem. OH and the lil nipple on the CAI was down too far so the stock vacuum hose couldn't stretch that far...so would i need a longer one??

would this work??? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7976935662&category=38634

Just cut the tubing in half (if you can't return it that is...) and buy a coupler (you can get one at autozone), you can work it so it will fit... You might have to chop a section out, and cut a bit off the end that holds the filter (if you want the filter higher off the ground to reduce the risk of hyrdolock).

If you return it and decide to go the ebay route, make sure you get a 2 piece pipe.

Good luck.

If I remember correctly, that oval opening leading into the fender wall has to be cut. I'm not sure if a 2.5" diameter intake pipe would fit ok, but I know for a 3" diameter (that's what I have) then you have to cut the opening to make it bigger. I didn't have to re-locate the battery though, but I had to cut away some of the battery tray. As far as the nipple is concerned, you can just use some silcone hose to connect it with. My intake came with a piece that was about 16" long, that should be plenty. I'm not sure how "off" the bends are, maybe you could provide a pic or two.

Well being that you're kind of a newbie, I see why you didn't do a search b4 buying. You definately need a 2-piece. Maybe cutting it should help. Even with the 2-piece you might have to do some more cutting to get it to fit. As for the hole by the fender, it will have to be cut as well in order for the CAI to fit through. as for the nipple, you really don't need it. Just plug it up..
