I sometimes drop by discounttiredirect.com to look at rims, and check tire prices. I just happened to notice that they are shipping tires free through June 15th! I went out and checked my stock michelins, and was a little shocked when I felt very little tread left (I am almost ready to turn 31K on my 03' GLS). After remembering a lot of people were not even getting 30K out of the stockers, I guess I should consider myself lucky to have gotten this far on them.
Since discount tire does not operate retail stores here in TN where I live, I also got them without tax. $300 for 4 Yokohama Avid V4s and $12 for 4 valve stems. They are rated as best in class by tirerack, and have a great warranty for a performance all-season (V speed rated too). The warranty (500 AA vs 360 AA) was probably the capper in deciding on these over the Falken Ziex.

I got the 205/55 R15's. I called someone here locally and they gave me a price for the same tires, and it would have been $450 for just the tires. That is a serious savings, even when I pay to get them mounted and balanced. Since this is my work week (7 overnight shifts in a row), it will be next week before I get them installed. I will definately give a review of them once they are installed.
So if some of you are devoid of discount tire retail stores in your state and need tires, this would be the time to pick some up.

Update: Finally got around to cleaning the car (lots of rain as of late) and getting some pics. I would love to get some Eibachs, but it will have to wait a little while longer. Until then....
