hey everyone, I was at andysautosports.com and was looking at a set of canards for the front bumper of my 05 elantra gls. Does anyone know if they really work, any input on how they would look on the stock bumper also thanks.

You won't notice any difference and be prepared to be called a ricer. If you like them do what makes you happy but they won't look right on the stock body of are cars. Also depending on how they mount I remember a story were they came off at high speeds I think they were the auto zone special and clipped on the bottom of the bumper with a screw or 2. Save your money and get something else.

thanks, i was wondering if they'd fall off, I am currently saving money to buy parts for my 65 gto. I dont think i want my car to be a ricer so I doubt i will buy them cuz $40 is to much for thos little pieces of cf.

canards are small wing like things that you stick on the front bumper of your car, they are supposed to create downforce, but they are so small you wouldnt notice if they did work.

Well If you had an appropriate aero package you would. But they need something solid to mount to. When your flying down a track at 100mph and the only thing holding them on is 2 screws and the bottom lip of your bumper they aren’t going to hang around for long and they will flex negating any effect they may have had. If you want the car to handle a little better they already have a couple of mods that if you look around and search for you will be able to find. They do look pretty cool on the right car/body kit combo but just a little to ricey for me. I would dig up pics but I’m lazy they look like little airplane wings with turned up tips. Got pics of the GTO.

Sounds great. I await a full write up. I’m not sure but a guy at work has a firebird 400 or something like that for sale for dirt cheap everything works but motor needs a rebuild. I did a search and haven’t found much about a firebird 400 just that it’s a formula version I guess. To be honest I haven’t bothered with looking hard just a few quick googles. Nothing better then old American iron. :D

those are cool cars, I am finding that my GTO is turning into a money pit because it looked like a reallu good car until i ran my fist through both quarter panels, and the front bumpers were rusted through at the bottom, so right now it doesnt look like a car, i am going to start modifying my elantra after i get that project out my way even though i have a 1930 model a sedan hot rod to finish, then i have a 56 and 57 vettes that i am making into 1 good car. I own way to many vehicles..
