there will be 6 hoods up or grabs this first time around. i already have the first evo so we need two more there. they will be 500. we also need 3 for the oem. they will be 400. the first two folks to pay will get 25% off price. everyone after that will get 20% off. now everyone has to pay in full to fund the tooling of the hoods. the final thing to get this done is he needs someone from socal to test fit the hoods. that way he knows he is sending out the highest quality product.

as for shipping time they can be shipped in as little as two weeks, but first we need a hood in so cal for him to work off of. now if we cant find anyone i am going to drive out on the 4th of july and production will begin then.


the hood latch and washer nozzle holes will be there if we want them. i take it we want them? the pins are a function of taste if you like em get em.

there will be a stock latching sytem. making the hood a 5 minute install.

there will be no washer nozzle holes on the hood.

the all inmportant question about shipping. it will 100$ flat rate in the lower 48. so yes with the 20% off the hood (25% for first two to pay in full) 500 will cover shipping.

OK, I'll give the hood away at half price if I can get that hood from you Shmorf, and whether you guys pay or not, I'll have that OEM hood done first. So we may have to do two hood swaps man, but I'm sure thats ok with you since your car will be all over ebay and FlyRyde.com in the test shots.

So let me know when we can make this happen, and YES I am back in town, for good, no weddings, school, trips to the moon, nothing is standing between me and FlyRyde blowing up in the very near future. Make sure you guys are with me before then!

Just wanted to throw a few comments for those who are considering this.

When a garbage truck dropped some stuff onto my hood, it was a $550 repair to get 3 small dents out and repaint... if a CF replacement hood were around for this price, I would have got it.

As for washer nozzles, the mid-late '90s cavalier has them on clips that attach to the wiper arm. Grab a pair from the junkyard, spend $3 on washer hose and you're all set.

I make this aftermarket. And people like me. People who care more than just about their car, or their projects. Without us there would be no crooked H tuners. I dont need a huge line of fans to do what I set out to. You all have had an opportunity to take part in something while it was young. But if thats not good enough, it doesn't just stop like with other companies. I dont NEED the help. I WANT the help, and in return I'll help you out with a killer deal.

What it seems everyone is failing to understand is that FlyRyde will have products for your 04-05 XD and that is WITH or WITHOUT any hook up to you guys. I'm no fly by night company that will just abandon you when I dont get rose pedals to walk on.

ABQ has done nothing but try to do this to help me. Welcome to my world ABQ. But its looking like I'm built for the stress and rush of business and it might not be as pretty as you may have thought it was, but thats my life :) and I love every day of it.

My favorite day of the week, dont tell my wife, is Monday morning bright and early waiting for me to conquer the week. So with that said, I'll be conquering for the community regardless of a handful of individuals who cant put their money where their mouth is. Heh, lets just put it this way, I help the Hyundai guys, because they got me started. The hook up passed on to XD owners only comes from a handful of people who took me in and showed me the ropes early on. You just get the spoils of their labor, no need to labor yourselves. Hyundai products make close to no profit. So nobody makes them. Suprising? I hope not. I make products for Hyundais to basically pay the community back for what they (you all) gave me, and that was a shot at a future I've loved ever since I started in on it.

Sorry to disappoint everyone, but this hood will be made, as will any other products I've spoken of. Thats just the way we do it, like it or not.

Hey, I think I'd be interested in one of the OEM-styled-C/F-5-minute-installation hoods. The price seems great (400 OEM hood - 80 (-20%) + 100 US Shipping = USD $420 right?). Just several things on my part stand in my way (car loan, insurance increasing (friggin accident a while back), winter is soon and long where I live). On your part, (1)Are the hoods ready made, or is this GB money funding the mold? (2)How long will you be running this Group Buy (until you get 6? or a certain deadline?) and (3)do you have pics (does it follow the OEM lines exactly), and the (4)specs (whats the weight) of the hood. Thanks for your Time and Efforts.

P.S. Blacktibz were you the guy who made angel eyes for tibs and XDs? And if so I think you should develop some for the XD2 since I'd be interested in that as well.

Yea at the moment I don't any money to have just "sit" for a couple months until I see the results... theres a lot more instant mods I could get in the meantime... so I'm interested... just probably next year when I've saved much more.
