hey guys,
Last week I went and ordered the Motegi FF5 17x7 wheels for my 05 elantra GLS. They showed up and when we opened the box there was a paper saying do not mount on any Hyundai model vehicle. So the the tire company called them up and motegi said something about the hyundai hub not matching up with their wheels. I noticed some of you guys are runnin motegis and if you have heard of this before or if you have had any problems with the rims . They said none of their line of wheels work on hyundais. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you'll need hubcentric rings... they're basically adapters that fit inside the hole for the hub so that the wheel fits properly on the hub. My Motegi's have them... they're plastic.

they could also possibly be talking about the screws that are in the rotors and drums... you'll probably have to take the screws out to get them to fit flush....

Either way, it's not a big deal..... Motigi is probably covering themselves from liability....

I have the Motegi MR7's 17"....the only problem I had was the hub rings that came with the rims (pre installed by Motegi) didn't fit. Luckly the shop that mounted them had hubrings that fit the XD2 in stock.

what they are prob talking about is the pre-99/00 hyundai that had captive rotors (huge bolts that held the rotors together).
