I love these rims but. Has anyone found something to correct the speedo? I have been looking around and found that 205/45/r17 is showing as a +2 rim/tire combo how much average will the speedo be off. I did a search but either i suck at the internet or everyone is just driving a mph or 2 below the posted limits ;) to comply with local traffic laws.
about 250.00 a rim didn't check shipping. I might get my rubber from them aswell if they have what I want / a good price.
They also way in at 22pounds so a little more then stock.

Those tires (205/45/17) will be 0.2% off. When your speedo says 60, you're going 60.1. Your speedometer is probably less accurate than that, even in complete OEM mode. There is no need to recalibrate the speedometer.

Accordingly to my local radar-self-test-speedometer-indicator when my speedometer says 100kmh, I'm actually going 97kmh, and when my speedometer says 105kmh, I'm actually going 100kmh.
This is good for travelling on the local freeways (100kmh zones) so I don't compain.
Also I'm only riding on 15"s
Those rims look awesome.
I'm a big fan of a dish design, because curb scrapes are never fun!
I'd never get rims where the spokes stick outwards, will somebody please think of the children?!?!
Also I've always been afraid of the rims where the centre cap is attached with an allen key. People nick them a lot!
What was this thread about again? LOL! Sorry mate, had a few too many...

lol I just keep coming up with more but I think the offset they offer will be fine for the tire size. I want new pads on all 4 corners anyway "help with bringing the extra meat down to a stop.". What about the rims being stolen? I'm going to get the tunerlugs with the key thats a pain in the *** to get them off to prevent such things from happening. Going with the hub rings. For my rubber I was thinking.

Racing Harts make nice looking rims, but that's about it. Their rims are some of the heaviest, and they're not cheap either.
Do you really want to spend $1000 + tax on rims alone only to have it weigh heavier than stock and have worse performance than stock?
I wouldn't normally persuade someone from buying nice rims in the $600-$1000 price range with tires even when they're that heavy, but to spend so much and get little out of it I don't see the point.

The #1 reason being that not alot of cars will have it due to the cost. I'm looking at a few other rims. But these are the front runners.

My rims are almost identical to that except mine are Katana VR-6's and they are bronze with a polished lip. I got rims and tires for a little over $900. Oh yeah, mine are 17x7" with 205/40/17 tires and I got them at wheelguyz.com.

I'm looking at other options Enkli(sp?) has some nice looking rims but finding a web site that has full specs is like pulling teeth. I would rather buy the real rim not the knock off for the fact that when I sell the car I can sell the rims seperate and I think they will hold there value a little better granted I don't mash them up. The rims I posted are 251.00 each plus shipping it looks like and then I have to pay extra for the hub rings tires and all of that other stuff. It's the only web site i have looked at so far need to do a good bit more searching. But I have added spring tech springs to the list for when I get the rims so I won't be all monster truckish.

After rims, tires, shipping, hub rings, valve stems, mounting and balancing, you will end up paying at least $1600 for the whole deal. If you go for a "knock-off" type of rim as you call it, you could get all of the above, alignment, lowering springs, and still have $400-$500 to spend on other cool stuff for your car like intake and exhaust, or some performance brakes. The decision is definately up to you since it is your car, but it is something to think about.

The Enkei's and Racing Harts will hold decent value only for their name brand alone. There are only a few rims that the 2 make that I would actually purchase (i.e.the higher end, more performance oriented), otherwise most of their stuff to me is overpriced and not much bang for your buck. The quality of most their rims are probably no better than any of the generic ones, but when it comes to Japanese products, somehow most people have more faith in their name brand.
In the end, you can only buy what you can afford. But if it were up to me, I would just go all out and get rims not only for the style but for the function also. That's what drove me to spend so much on wheels/tires. If I was going to spend more than $1400 on a set of wheels/tires that are just going to be as heavy as stock or even heavier, I might as well spend the extra money for something that will improve performance. Not only that but if I were to ever sell my car and had to get rid of my rims, I wouldn't have a problem whatsoever getting someone to buy my set of rims.
There are plenty of copy cats of my rims out there, but a true enthusiast could easily look at my rims and know the difference. It's nice a feeling to see another car enthusiast check out my rims while we're at a stoplight, especially when he has a sweet ride. He's probably thinking.."wow I wouldn't mind having those rims" while I'm thinking to myself "man, I wouldn't mind having his car!"
