Today, I was riding around in my friend's Elantra. We went to KFC in the city. We park, and this old Sentra pulls up and parks right next to us. The driver opens his door (what it seems like as hard as he could), and hits the passenger door. theres like a 4inch dent on the door now.

My firend had to argue with the guy for about an hr before the guy agreed to pay for the damages. the whole time, the guy tried to convince my friend that it wasnt that bad and that he could fix it.

There was a time back a few yrs ago where I was parked at the school parking lot. One of my friends that I was supposed to meet is coming from behind at an angle with his corolla. He gets distrated by my other friend who is driving 30 or 40 ft away from the side of my car with his matrix. The guy in the corolla keeps looking at the guy with the matrix to get his attention while he continues to move at an angle right into my rear bumper. From the initial jolt I felt and heard, it sounded like something really bad happened. Well it turned out that one of the rear bumper screws popped out and everything else was perfectly fine. On the other hand my friend with the corolla had a dent in his front fender.

No, but two weeks ago my poor baby got hit while I wasn't in the car.
Bastard didn't leave a note either.
Cost of someone else's stupidity? $350!
Gotta hate parking.

I guess you need a bumper sticker that says this car protected by smith and wesson . I am sorry I wouldnt argue, by half an hour he is gonna leave with dent in his face. Sorry about that I know how you feel.

Didn't happen while I was in the car, but one night at dennys a guy backed into my elantra. I wouldn't have known untill I left had it not been for my 2-way alarm. I ran out while the guy was trying to leave and stopped him. Luckily the guy had insurance. about 1000 worth of damage done to my front end. stupid people in parking lots.

Clifford RSX 3.2. It dosen't have the fancy display on the remote, but it gets the job done, and thats all that mattered. Plus I got a good deal on the install. I walked away for $260 installed w/remote start in 4 hours. Best buy wants about double and requires about 8 hours to do the work. My alarm is just as warantied for half the price.

I will walk a long way if I have to in order to park away from everybody! Its not always an option, but if it is, I take it. My kids whine ( sharp! exercise is good for ya! ) but its a small price to pay. If I see someone HAS parked next too me, I check for door dents and have my house key ready ...

had someone hit the wife's old elantra with their door as I was walking up to it. As they passed us I said to them "thanks for hitting my door", and they smarted off and said "it's a POS anyway". Needless to say they came back to 4 caved in doors. It is amazing how easily a door caves in with a kick in the right spot.

I am very evil when it comes to messing with my cars. Parelle parked at a football game in my old Excel and after the game I came out to find a Jeep parked so close that his bumper was on top of mine. After I got out of the spot I checked and it looked like they had backed into my car 3 of four times trying to get in the space. They came back to two broken taillights and a 12 inch gash in their door.

A friend of a friend (really - not me) had the best way to get back at people who screwed with your car in parking lots, etc.

He always had his tools in his trunk (his occupation), he would use his drill to sink a drywall screw into the tires, and then back it out 1/4 inch. Screw is black - tire is black, which makes it near invisible. The tire wouldn't go flat, but soon after driving away the screw would rip it's way out leaving a large hole in the tire(s).

Very evil...I don't know if I would ever do it as with my luck it would pull out on the highway and seriously hurt some one.

That is badass  Gman. I think I would have snapped on the guy for him saying my car was 'POS anyway', as justification for what he did.

I was coming home with my mother after we got out hair cut, and on the way down someone in an ould buick tank rear-ended us at least at like, 10-15 mph or higher. I had a lollipop in my mouth and when we got hit my first reaction was "MY F_CKING CAR!" and my mom waved at them violently to pull into the next alley.

Somehow there wasnt even a scratch on my bumper, and his bumper was already messed up. It was all good though, nothing major, but my mom didnt care about my "language"... she later said that it was warrented and ok! :D

I had this old 77 toyota celica that just kept having crap happen to it. The first thing was a lady in a parking garage just backed out right into me as I came down the ramp. She's all I didn't see you, yeah right with my headlights on. bent the **** out of me fender, I had to pull it out to drive. So I get her info and of course it turns out to be fake. a couple of weeks later I see her car in the same garage, so I got out my jack and star wrench and took all her wheels off and dropped the car on it's rotors and then took the jack to the winshield. Right before i left I scratched ***** on the door.

The second time I was at a stop light and some dumb blond chick rear ends me going 45mph. Right at the corner is a deli and 10 witnesses. so the cops come and I pull my car to the parking lot and she can't even start her car. The front is totaled. the cop estimates $4000 to her car (all plastic front end) and $150 to my car. all she did is put a small dent in my steel bumper. She claims I had no brake lights, so the cop checks and of course I have them. I drove off and she had to wait for the tow truck. I love old cars, just so damn tough.

My reply
I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted..

After a few days in the hospital when my wife had our 2nd boy, I came out to find someone had opened their door right into mine. Even after I searched to find a spot where people could only park on one side of me knowing I'd be there a day or two, sure enough it happened.

I know it was the car parked next to me, same white paint as was on my door, but it being a happy day and we're firm believers in karma (it'll come back around), I left it at that.

But, if I'm in or around my car and see someone pull up next to me in a parking spot, I'll wait to see if they tap my car. People are ignorant sometimes and need to be told and held responsible for their actions.

With all the old people, illegal & inconsiderate drivers around here, I was constantly fixing body panels on my cars. And what the hell is up the jealous a$$holes that loved to stuff cups and crap into the hood scoop on my Celica, wtf is wrong with people?

What a bunch of morons. That's like talking crap to the guy preparing your food at a restaurant. I think I would have done the same crap....except I have some paint markers in my car. I think they would have come back to a new paint job that says "It's a POS anyway" right across the hood.

Anyway, my wife was parked in her office's parking lot in her brand new Santa Fe when this car full of idiots actually gets pulled over next to her. I guess it was an entire asian family....like 6 of them. The cop gave them a ticket because there were to many of them in the car and not enough seat belts. So the cop leaves and the kid (16 yrs old) opens the back door and hits my wifes car. He then gets back in the car and shuts the door. My wife said it was so hard it shook the whole car. So she gets out real quick and asks WTF just happened. So the jackass proceeds to do it AGAIN and get out this time. She was ready to RIP HER HEAD OFF. I ended up getting a call from my wife's boss saying that she was about to box all 6 people and that I'd better get down there. I guess the ***** that initially hit the door was being all snobby because they were all jammed into a Lexus and my wife was in a Hyundai. Apparently she was telling my wife that you can't even see it...and then what really pissed her off she said "Who cares anyway". Yeah right, my Wife cared.

Anyway, long story short they gave us their insurance information and they paid for our new dent free and newly painted door. My wife said that if they would have been nice and apologetic about the whole thing she would have let it go but they decided to get *****y so they got to pay for our repairs. $600. I hope it also raised their insurance rate.

Well this one time, I was waiting parked (but the car was on) infront of my high school and the lady infront of me backed up to me...
She was driving a 2005 black Cadillac CTS and I was in my good ol' 04 Elantra GT.
As she started to back up pretty fast, I honked... a couple secs later, she hits my driver's side bumper and fender
there are about 200 students and at least 20 teachers who witnessed the whole thing. I guess my honking attracted everyone's attention.
Anyways, I had a very very small dent on the fender, nxt to the headlight (that you can't even notice) and the side marker was slightly cracked
We called a police officer who suggested that because the accident was so small, we deal it privately instead of going through the insurance
Unfortunately, this lady acted like a ***** and didnt even say she was sorry
Result? Her insurance ended up paying $800 for what would have costed only $200 to fix
I didnt even get the dmg fixed, I got new rims and tires with the check received!
Moral of the story: Admit to your mistakes and honestly apologize when you damage another person's valuable property!
