Shaved trunk

does anyone know about it? how much it would cost could you do it yourself what would it take?

You are going to have to decide on how you want your trunk to open. You already have the manual lever in your car, but you can add an electric popper to open it remotely. To do it yourself you have to remove the key hole, plate over the hole, body fill the rest of the way so that the trunk is flush all the way across. Then you have to find a good painter to paint the trunk for you. If you have the whole thing done for you, I wouldn't expect to pay more then 400-500 total (paint being the most expensive process). DIY around 100, but you still have to have the trunk painted unless you have a paint rig. Also, that is assuming that you want to add a popper to an alarm already in your car.
My list of supplies would be:
Electric trunk release/popper
Body Filler (Bondo, Bondo glass, whatever you like)
small thin piece of metal, for covering the hole
sander
paint
clear coat
lots of time
Im sure I have missed something along the way, but thats basically what it takes.

Wouldn't you need a welder to weld the metal piece in place?

Yes you would need a welder (MIG). For body filler.... Do not use Bondo brand body filler. It sucks. It doesn't spread easily at all, dries super fast, often times tends to clump up when trying to spread, and don't get me started on the hundreds of pinholes you will find in Bondo. I would suggest a good quality filler from an autobody supplier. Evercoat makes great filler that is every thing that Bondo isn't. Also if you get the Evercoat, some hardener should come with it, but if not get the same brand hardener as your filler. One more thing, get good quality spreaders. They can make a big difference on your sanding time.
