Avatar Collage !

This is for someone with a lot of time on their hand..

It would be great if you could make a collage of all of the avatars of people on this forum...

Getting a zip file sent to you takes all of the "fun" out of it. You must torture yourself and "right-click to save" every single one lol.

Well, I think every member should have a place in the avatar colloge. It's only fair to include everyone. Shouldn't we all be treated equal here? Just my two cents.

Thats 2,298 members!! That collage would be HUGE!! Lol... Next time i have some free time at work, Probably on friday, I will make one for all members that have visited the site in the past 2 months. And no more doubles either... so only one homer in a tux instead of 4-5

Admin can probably can grab every avatar from the avatar gallery with a click of a button, but it could be more difficult than that.

This one is the 2005 collage, then we'll have another one next year.

In a couple hours i'll start putting together the new collage for all members that have visited the site in the past two months. It's a slow day at work... lol

ok, at Noon, Chicago time, I will see who has visited in the since 5/22/05, and those people will have their avatars in the new collage. So anybody wants to change their avatar, you've got an hour and 20 minutes to do so....

I have 990 members for the past 2 months! WTF? This collage is going to be huge. I'll see if MAYBE I can get it done by Monday....
If and when I finish this.. I want a really big F-ing cookie.. lol

Alright, I changed mine, was I too late? I still would love to get rid of the XD and pick up one of the last SRT-4 ACR's, but that's not happening. So I might as well use my avatar to display what I actually own and what I do with it, namely race it.

List is down to 746 members... with all the no-post people out of it. I'll start saving the avatars gradually through the day and through the weekend. So there is still time to change your avatar. I wont be using any doubles, so be original if you want to represent yourself...

That's gonna be a big image. The closest 'square' to that number would be 27, meaning that the image would have to be about 27 images by 28 images. With images running about 80x80 pixels, you're looking at an image aroun 2160x2240.

right, but you figure, at least 20% of the people wont even have avatars, so that drops the total down to about 597. And then figure roughly maybe 20-30 duplicates, call it 25, and we're down to 572, so now we're down to about 24x24, 1920x1920 pixels. But thats also on the original piece. once its done, i'll shrink it all down, so there is no distortion. The last one i did was just shy of filling the whole screen while i was working on it. But then i shrunk it to a reasonable size.

Ha ha, that is what I was thinking. I can name the owners of 90% of them without having to look them up. The other 10% I recognized but could not think of their screen name.

Sorry its taking so long. Its a long process and i've been a little busy with summer classes and work. I already had to start over once cuz they wouldnt fit. Soon though... Good things come to those who wait.
