I'm hoping its his project in the works... maybe his paint appointment is tomorrow?

The taillights could have come from his girlfriend whom he didn't want to offend by not using?

The holes in the skirts for exhaust piping + holes in the rear.... poor choice in bodykit?

I've seen worse. Are those Civic tailights? Other than that and the holes in the bumper (which he may be planning on shaving the trunk and putting reverse lights in the holes) I think it will look decent after it is painted. I wouldn't hate until the car is all said and done.

Dude, are you talking about the same car everyone else is talking about, because this car is a Nissan, not a Civic. If you are talking about some other car...my bad.

I agree, everything takes time and money, but if he didn't have the money to finish the job, he shouldn't have started it. And that's in general, not just this car... if you can only afford to do 1/2 of whatever it is you're going to do... wait until you can do the whole thing.

If it was all one color including the ground effects (even primer gray or flat black) and if he/she hadn't put those very strange taillights on it, I'd say that it looked like a work in progress...

By the way, Yes, I'm positive that that's a Nissan 200SX, most likely a '98. My friend at work here has one in red with the same black strip across the trunk.

Not to be a dick or anything, but if people can't tell what a car is by simply looking at the body lines, the contour, shape, and the design of the windows, maybe you should up your general knowledge of cars before you post. Especially when you can't tell the difference between a freakin' Civic and a 200.

You mean it used to be a Nissan 200SX. :D

LOL Yeah, I don't really care for what he did to his car, but to each his own. I agree with Hyunelan's statement about waiting until you have enough money to complete the project instead of starting it and getting only half of it done.

Even if his car is "rice" in its current state, his car could possibly be an SE-R, which would be pretty respectable.

I'm sorry to tell you guys, but that is a Civic with a Nissan Trunk. That was the first thing I noticed. Look how the uppermost part of the trunk's light's and black area are higher than the lights of the rear quarter panel on both sides. Unless for some stupid reason, he molded Civic lights onto the car and did a real bad job on it.

I mean come on now, I don't blame these guys for so-called "Hatin" on him. It's true, if you don't have the funds, don't start something you can't finish. I've had my Hatch High Spoiler for about a month. I'm dying to put it on to see how it looks but I'm going to wait till I get it painted. When I get my bodykit, I know I may not have the $$ to get it painted right away. Doesn't mean I'm going to be impatient and just throw on the primered kit.

I'm extremely impatient. Ask Ford or sed. But not that impatient that I'll look ridiculous with a 2 or 3 tone car.

That is a Nissan 200SX. For sure.

Look at this 1998 Civic (which is the body style, 6th generation, that some are thinking it might be):

http://www.sfreeberg.com/frogpuff/honda2.jpg

You can see it has a body line crease on the side, which the car above does not. There are also other subtle differences.

That body kit is horrid on the *** end of that car, and the bondo job on the taillights is horrid.

OMG I had no idea that this thread would cause there to be question as to what kind of car this is. All you people that said it is a Civic should feel extremely stupid. I mean it's never been more obvious that this is a 200sx with Civic 3-D euro style tailights. Sorry for sounding upset here but geesh!

BlackElantraGT

This is a Nissan. Look at all the picture I posted, that's still the factory spoiler from the 200sx. Also, if you look at the angle of the trunk, it seems to sit a bit higher than the rest of the car, whereas the picture of the Civic posted sits about even with the rest of the car.

Also, unless he's a complete idiot, no one would want to graft a 200sx taillight/trunk onto a Civic. The 200sx/Sentra during those years are probably considered the most hideous of all the years the cars been produced.
