Aright for starters I am not trying to piss anyone off by being repetitive or for any other reasons but im trying to decide what bodykit to get. I will be painting my car black and have a dark blue under it and probably the zefiro spoiler or something similar. So im asking what is your favorite bodykit? you can also say ex i like this one if you put mesh in it and also please post pics of your bodykits

They just mean clearance wise. You might scratch or even pull your bumper off if ur too close to the ground... It happens...

that sucks! what if you put some airbags on or someguy on here has switchs ....this kinda leads into another question but with lowering springs what does the ride feel like? do you absorb rough ground and bumps better or does your just look better can you adjust the height

The M&S Carart looks the most stock/OEM, so that is my choice.

Yeah if your willing to pay $1000.00+ for a slap on body kit, but I do like it the best out of all.

Well having a kit obviously makes your car alot lower and most people with a kit lower their cars even more with springs or something. This makes going over bumps, humps, dips, and regular driving more difficult, and makes a kit more prone to making contact with the road (bottomming out), making the body kit crack and look like crap.

so whats the point of dropping it? also whats M&S Carart

To fill the fender gap ( the gap in between the top of the tire and the fender). Whenever I see a car with a kit and it's not dropped, I think it looks kinda' stupid. Lowering a car, kit or no kit makes the car look better and makes the car handle alot better than stock. IMO suspension is what makes the car so that and rims and tires is the most important thing to me.
Do a search for all available bodykits for our cars and you can find out more info on all the kits for our cars. The M&S Carart kit is a lip kit and I think it's made in Australia.

what webiste would you recommend for buying a kit and would you suggest pro installed or DIY also are flares hard to install

Like I said...do a search on this site for all the bidykits available. That will give you the websites you need in order to find the kits. If you've never done any type of bodywork, I would suggest getting it professionally installed since kits pretty much never want to fit up like your OEM bumpers. Side skirts IMO are better molded on than screwed and taped on, so again, if you've never done bodywork before get a professional to do it. Most shops will install and paint a kit anywhere from $400-$600 depending on how difficult the kit is and the color of your car. Also if you want the kit molded it will be more to install and paint than if the kit is just fastened using your stock bolts and screws. Flares also need to be molded so i would suggest a pro for that too.

Agreed. I'd add onto that list the Concepto kit if it's not a daily driver and if you have the cash.

I personally think the Evo kit on the Elantra is the ugliest body kit you can get for it. I wouldnt even buy the one off ebay.

Yeah the Evo kit is ugly. I definately would never get it. Although I don't plan on getting a kit soooo.

Dude $2000 is just too much for a kit. You'll still have to get it painted and installed. Not to mention if you eventually break it. Youll end up paying a good $2500 for the kit including paint and install. If you get a kit for $1000 and under, you can probably get the kit (installed and painted), rims and tires, and lowering springs for $2500. If it were me there would be no question.

Can't you decide which one you like best?
If I could afford any I would have the Concepto (I would fly to Korea, buy the kit and bring it back). Second, the Zefiro, it made me fall in love with Hyundais.
I really like the lip kits available too, I think they offer a less "LOOK AT ME" feel.

I drooled over the Zefiro Widebody, until I found out it was only availiable for 4-doors.
I like the M&S lip-kit, I'm saving up and waiting for it to go on sale. motorimpact just upgraded their site, but the lip-kit wasn't marked down to 850 anymore. It's more low-profile than body-kits, but looks nice(IMO).

Hey all...just thought I'd mention. I had spoken with a sales rep for the Tein coilover kits and he is willing to put together a group buy but only for very serious inquiries. I was going to wait until around December to drop a note about this so all of those interested would be able to do something around tax season. I'm going to grab an r34 kit but won't do a kit without adjustable suspension. I live in Mass. and the roads are not the best. I figure if you have to use your "daily driver" but want to hook it up....best best is to go adjustable suspension before any other serious exterior shopping....drop me a pm if you are putting serious thought into this - Subvibe
