as of now i am currently going to school for mechanical engineering(the people who make cars) and still have two years left. I have plans to put all the money i can into my 03 elantra when i get out of school but cant aford it now. what is the likely hood that there will still be upgrades availible in late 2007?

You must be a pretty smart guy if you're in school for mechanical engineering. My suggestion would be not to waste ALL of your money on something that will be 4 years old by the time you get out of school. I'm sure you'll have a bunch of school loans to pay off.

Sweet, I'm also going into mechanical engineering next year, just have to finish my last year of college in pure sciences.
How is it? Fun? I will be going into automobile specialty.

Stuff will still be available, I'm sure there will be things you can't get though.

My previous car (until a year ago) was a 1989 Sonata and I didn't have any trouble with parts.
3 come to mind - Rubber strip on underside front of hood, rear window regulator and driver's door switch module for windows and doors.
All were reasonably priced at the dealer and longest wait was 4 days.
