I'm headed to Shannonville Aug 12, a Friday night, with my local motorsports club to have a little fun at their Test & Tune event. Cars start running at 6pm and last run is at 11pm. I know I've made more than 7 runs in one night there, the staging lanes clear out as the night nears it's end. The cost os $20 for driver and $5 for spectator. If you don't know where Shannonville is, it's a half hour east of Belleville.

Just thought I'd put it up here in case anyone wanted to join me in giving an XD a good rip down a dragstrip. My club will be sporting mostly Dodges probably, there will definitely be a Dodge Rampage (the funny car-truck things) that runs anywhere in 11s depending if he uses nitrous or not, and an Omni GLH that runs mid-14s. There may even be a Dakota with a fresh 360, it's far from a stock engine. And a Dodge Valiant with a slant-6 that's hoping to set the longest ET record. I'm hoping to best my previous just under 16 second run.

Will do. I'm hoping that a new fresh set of NGKs sparked through Nology wires that I'll be installing in the next week or so will restore any lost performance. 205/50/15 Falken Azenis RT-615's should let me launch hard enough and the lower tire height reduces my gear ratio a bit. I also plan on pulling anything out of the car that isn't too bolted down. But my expectations are low enough I think, if I get even like 15.8 I'll be happy.

Nology suck *** btw. They will slow you down!

What?! Explain that statement please?

I mean they suck. I had nology, went to the track and run half a second slower than I did without them. Luckily I had my stock wires with me and I swapped it right there. After the swap car was half a second faster again.

Alright, so I guess I'll confirm your experience with Nology. I'll take both the Nology and the stock wires to the track and compare their effects on the runs.

Damn rain.

It was cancelled, but there will be a reschedule, so I will end up going down there soon, but this time we head to Cayuga (Toronto Motorsports Park) or St Thomas, which are real drag tracks, not Shannonville's hillbilly stick a tree on the very long back straight...
