Hey who wants a great hood? To start out we're going to give the same deal as on my other group buy, but all 01-03 guys can get in on this one. After we get a hood out here, we'll be using a hood from Snorky, we'll put out a CF stock looking hood with no washer nozzel holes, and a stock latching system so it'll be a super fast install.

I just need 2 or 3 guys to make it happen, same deal, you pay in full, I'll cut you

25% off so that we dont even have to mess with a GB of 10. Once we get the hood on the market, it'll always be there on FlyRyde.

After that, we'll have a thread dedicated to designing a vented hood, like the evo (which seems pretty popular right now) or even a scooped hood, whatever you guys want, if you want that hood with 6 vents like NFSU, lol, than thats what we'll make. Thats the scoot hood.

Anyway, I'll have these available on FlyRyde.com for 399, so I'll give whoever jumps in now 100 bux off, or just say 399 shipped.

These prices are not anywhere near my normal prices, but I want to get this started for you guys, and the best way to do that is get a couple guys hooked up with FlyRyde banners and stickers with my hood on their car. Those couple guys will push enough customers to the site, that my loss on the first couple hoods will eventually come make itself back into my pocket.

We'll be moving onto bodykits if the hood sales do well enough, if there is an interest, and cash to back it up, I can make you guys anything you've been wanting, widebody kits, fenders, CF hatches, you name it, I'll make it, and Fast too. My new manufacturer is very very fast. So lets get something happening!

Just make sure you make stuff for 04 to 05 Elantra's. And also why no washer nozzle spots?

I can't afford one right now or I might be interesteed. However, while I like that it'll work with the factory mounts, I don't like the lack of washer nozzle holes and would certainly hesitate to buy it on that fact alone.

I'd suggest cutting the keyholes in the hoods for the factory two way nozzles (which will also work with the KDM Mobius 3 way nozzles).

COUNT ME IN!

I've been waiting for someone to have a OEM-style CF hood for awhile in the marketplace.

I assume that the washer nozzles could just be installed on the CF by drilling a hole and installing the stock ones?

the faster people want this the faster i can get the hood to him. so come on guys that a hell of a deal to have a carbon hood and shipped to you guys 399 is a hell of a price.

Hey this is awesome what a great turnout.

Ok, first off, guys I'm really just Blacktibz in disguise, some of you know me from my Angel Eyes from Haloz.biz

Anyway, I'm located in Fontana California, and my manufacturer is in Santa Fe Springs, CA about 50-60 minutes away from me down the 605.

The company is amazing, and they actually found me, I was working with a very very slow little shop in City of Industry for about 10 months when they offered amazing work made to cator to my needs. They will take a hood from my guys car, and send it straight into production with all mods needed to make it what we want it. So BLAM, thats was that. I decided to fill the contract with my old hood maker, so he gets my last few hoods for the Tiburons, then all my products will be made from my new company. They are great products I must say, I'm very impressed so far. I pay extra on the tooling so that I only get great fitting products, I really dont like to have customers be anything but happy. I figure start to finish no longer than 2 weeks from the time I give them the hood, until I have tracking numbers for you guys! I'm really focusing on Hyundais right now to get my body parts built up before I venture on to other markets.

So, we'll worry about other vented styles later, but for now, I need a few dedicated people to jump in on this, only the first 3 can get in at 399 Shipped in the lower 48 states. After that, it jumps back up to 399 plus shipping. (about 99).

Ok on the issue of washer nozzles. Imagine being told you HAVE to have washer holes and you dont want them, if thats your only options, you're screwed.

That sucks.

So if you DO want them, then you can just drill them back in your CF hood. The point of CF is not OEM standard, its more of a race or show item. So we make sure all ends are covered to keep everyone happy. And if the item comes out wrong, we fix the tooling until all products come out A quality. Fiberglass or Carbon fiber on all parts, including body parts such as bumpers and fenders.

Also interior parts but I really want to get a few cars looking good before we get too invovled on all this. So I need a few dedicated people to dive in for some super cheap amazing quality products, because if I get only two or three who pay in full, we get the product now, and forever after, and no need for GBs... unless we really feel like it.

Breaking boundries, :)

I see your point, and there are ways to rig the washers to the wipers like on some of the Dodge vehicles.

so guys lets get this going so I can start making you other new parts, like carbon fiber or fiberglass triple pod pillars or eyebrows. I'm just getting my gears turning, so now is a good time for new projects as I'm so active with my manufacturer!

sounds good. Ok guys, I need to start accepting payments on this. I'll add the prebuy to FlyRyde.com so you can at least see it there and know its in the works. Ron I want you to come down as soon as I confirm I have 3 payments.

Its all up to you guys, so lets make it happen!

So, I've checked out your site, www.flyryde.com

I'll have to say, I'm not too impressed.

As for adding a 'pre-buy' or whatever to your site... not seeing anything even closely resembling that for this groupbuy or the 04-05 CF hood GB. So if you're asking me to send a payment right now, especially because it's "up to me". I don't even know how to.

I've sent you a PM a week ago and I havn't gotten any correspondance from you.

I'm really interested in seeing this happen and maybe it's too early to comment on the process, but I guess I won't be holding my breath.

lol, [/buries face] Man, I have to say my first reaction is to get butt hurt by comments on the site, but man, it is busted right now. Thats why there's been so much forum work lately for me. I'm paying the 3rd programmer from over a year and a half of work to get that site finished.

Looks is the last thing to worry about as far as the site goes, but what you CANT see is whats truely beautiful about it. The admin panel of the site is amazing, and has been the focus of the work so far. You can just about always find good work in terms of graphic design and page layout, but the programming is whats hard to find what you want.

So man you guys aren't too eager to work with me I know. Just give it some time, try not to spit off at the mouth anything you might be embarrassed about later, but I do understand the current situation. The fact is that I'm not a frequent poster here, and I've not seen my PM lit up once lately??? I'll check it right now.

I was so pissed though, I wanted to add some products to the site just so I could post the new FlyRyde parts for the Tiburons. I added about 6 or 7 bumpers and some other items then boom??? the site gives me errors every way I try to get in from the outside. The admin panel is still fine, but as for the site, damn, it says something about a problem with my left panel?

This is why I have to source out good programmers, because I never got this far into webdesign before I started slacking off. I used to make webpages for a living, lol, now I feel as helpless as ever. Just goes to show you can never learn too much about computers.

The site job is due to be done by the 6th, but everytime I find a programmer I like, he ends up turning to crap and leaving me with a 95% functional site, where the other 5% is the most important stuff!!!

So I'm definitely not bragging on my site looks or anything yet, I'll have all the time in the world for that later, but man is it making me look worse with that site linked up all over the internet, and its not even working.

BUT HEY, THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HOODS thank God. So should I call Snorky down guys or what?

i know chris and he is a up and up guy he works hard to get things done and make everyone happy, i'll tell you this if you go to hyundaiperformance website you can see the carbon bumper and fender he had made for his car and his wifes car so give him some slack, the guy is doing this all on his own, i understand the business part it aint easy. plus he owns a tiburon, but is willing to help everyone in the hyundai community. So he doesnt frequent this board but hey he's got alot to do so hopefully we get this done.

We understand ur points but in these days we have to be very careful. I mean first off, we don't really know him, his website is down, you yourself are a newbie Snorky.. I guess everyone is using caution cuz people have been ripped-off before....Don't take it in bad way, just trying to explain..

Point taken and way understood. I'm an oldy, you just gotta ask about me. Blacktibs, FlyRyde, Haloz, Chris, lol, all ways to find out about me more. But I'll earn my respect and trust here as I have elsewhere before I get any bit butt hurt about it it :) Thanks man, I know what your saying loud and clear!

I think this whole situation can be summed up by going to their webpage... www.flyryde.com

It seems like they are having technical difficulties. Personally, I don't feel very confident about this group buy or the seller/merchant. I will need a lot more convincing (and less guilt-trips) before I would lay down any of my hard-earned money toward this.

Well, the website, doesn't seem to be 100% functional. If you click on any of the links, it shows an error. The front page, says the site is having technical difficulties (for the past 20 days, it seems) and to call for orders.

Other places that have made hyundai parts have had nie web sites and look how that turned out. Can't always judge a book by it's cover. Did you try calling the number to see if you could talk to some one?

Also Just to make sure you are going to put the uv filter in the hoods right so it won't cloud up in like 3-4 months right?

Sorry guys, I felt kinda chased out by the XD crowd for a bit, but it looks like these threads didn't stay dead!

So I'm not asking for a bunch of people to think we're the bottom line Best company out there, but we're here, and we're moving things forward. I seriously hate that the site isn't up yet, I'd rather people never see it before its done since they write off the whole business based off the site. So this is still in the works guys. I'm glad you all didn't just give up!

I was waiting until someone made a CF hood with a scoop like the srt or like the one blackdiamond has, only if the scoop is placed a little further down the hood and if it was functional http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7052&highlight=r34
If you make one like I would want I would buy it.

We might have come off a little strong but we still got your back. We need company's to help us out here. The aftermarket scene is not that great when it comes to Elantra's. We weren't trying to chase you away. I guess some people were just being cautious....got any updates?
