I was wondering why my bass was sounding pretty bad... well one of the connectors on my box actauly blew out of the wood it was glued into... lmao so it was "ported" so to speak or atleast 1 sub was sense its sealed in the middle.. what do you guys suggest I glue it with? it has to withstand alot of pressure also 2 bolts fell out of my trunk lid the other day (also blew off from bass) and I cant see where they came from is there lots of hidden ones up there?

I would say Hot Glue will probably give you a stong bond. Silcone Selant will also be strong, but I'm not sure how well either will hold up to the coninuous pounding of bass?

The only bolts I know of in the trunk are the ones that hold the hinges to the trunk lid, and I think there are some smaller ones that hold the emergency handle up there too.

liquid nail that is what we used to build speaker box and boy will it be strong.

if you find out where the heck those bolts go, loc-tite blue them.

I also agree, liquid nails is pretty good. just make sure to let it cure before you go pounding the hell out of it with bass.

Gorilla Glue perhaps?

I've never used it, but I think Norm Abram has so it must be good.

I've used liquid nails on every speaker box I've built. The stuff holds like nothing else I've ever seen. Just make sure to let it cure for a couple of days before using the subs again.

*edit* Oh yeah, about the bolts, just use threadlock on them. Like the man said, Loctite Blue will keep those suckers in place nicely. (If you're running enough bass to cause problems like this so soon, you might think about doing this to pretty much every fastener in the trunk area.)

liquid nails is good but if really want an extreme bond use bondo yes bondo, it actually "soaks" into the MFD and creates a super duper bond.

Bondo is the shiznitt for everything except body work. I'd go with bondo if you can get your hands on a little for pretty cheap.

If not, I'd go with liquid nails. But be carefull not to get any of the glue on box's carpet.
That would suck major. GL!!
