rear speaker install

When installing rear speakers are you suppose to put anything in between the speaker and the rear deck so that it isn't touching the rear deck? Just curious about this one...

by "rear deck" are you referring to the metal piece on the rear deck the speakers sit on, or the 'cardboard' piece that goes above the speakers?

seein as i never even thought of doing that when i did mine... the answer is YES!... also i found the holes didn't line up too well w/ my 6x9s i think hyundai made their own speakers.. get some foam and try to line it up around the edge... mine rattles a little bit i noticed... :mad: but whatcha gonna do... I say YES put some foam in there...
