I'm in the process of installing the tibby multi gauges, and I have a question about wire gauge sizes.

I ordered the wireing harness from newtib, and tghe wires that came with it are like 20 or 22 gauge.

The stereo harness in the dashboard uses like 16 or 18 gauge.

Can i splice these 2 together without frying the system?

Also, I bought extra wire to extend to the speedometer and ECU, and i bought the smallest wire that was available....18 gauge.

If i extend the 20-22 gauge with 18 gauge and then splice the 18 gauge into the cars system will it fry anything?

Quick reponces I hope, I want to get this done fast :)

Nope... you're fine.

yeah your good to go...now if you went to a smaller wire then you could have some probs...but going up in wire just decreases the ohms!

nope should be fine, increasing gauge size only limits the amount of current that a wire can carry.
