Got an IAT sensor code on the 2003 Elantra GLS. My understanding is its function on a 2003 is part of MAP sensor function. Got new MAP sensor from the dealer yesterday. Now I know appearances aren't everything but sometimes they're something. The old MAP sensor on the car is held on by two 10mm bolts. The new one I just got only has a place for one bolt on the right side. Is this correct?

Follow-up. My first instinct regarding the above question was to call the dealer/parts but I wasn't able to get through. Right after I posted, I got through and they said it was okay. So...I removed the old MAP sensor and, on the neck that seats in the opening - not the sensor tip - there's some fluid. Not very much at all but it might be oil. Is it possible/necessary that one puts a few drops on to help it seat? Thanks.

it is the correct part # so dont worry, its just an updated part.

I replace my map sensor a few months ago too as it went bad on me, Got the new part from the dealer and also noticed it was held by only 1 screw, Dealer said its an updated part, I installed it and my map sensor issue was Fixed.

the oil you see there is oil sucked in from the pcv valve, very little amounts get sucked in sometimes, it is ok an wont damage the engiene but i would replace the pcv if its old too. if you want to keep the oil from going in install an oil catch can.
