I figured it'd be easier posting my info here, and the status of my car instead of tracking down all of my other posts... plus when I first found these forums, I didn't know about this section So here goes:
I wrecked my car almost 3 years ago. 4 door, cranberry colored elantra.
The front right fender and bumper are messed up. I hope to get pics of it before it's fixed, but the car is a few thousand miles away right now.
I'm having it painted metallic hunter green, an R34 body kit, 30% tint, 17" rims with yokohama AVS ES100 tires. These are the mods I plan to do:

hmm, I put in for my car, and doesn't show any shocks, just struts. I don't know where I got the $140 price from for the shocks

I don't think I like the rims though. I'm looking at the drag dr9-b rims now.

so thats what my car would look like if it was green, thats a pretty good photoshop, i think mirror tint would look good with that color

Here it is with different rims, though I went with neither of these rim choices, and stuck with my first choice, the Kyalami rims. My gf didn't like them at first, I grouped 'em in with like 6 other rims, then she picked them. Go figure. So I ordered them before she changed her mind again. I also updated the top post with more parts on order.

I just added it up... I've already spent $4020 on my ride... and I'm still going to get a catback exhaust for sure... AND I haven't paid for the body repairs, bodykit install, or paintjob yet! What the heck has happened to me. I've spent more on the car than it's worth already. I planned to spend about 3400 total with the body repairs and paintjob. Good thing my per diem went up.. and I'm making about $1000 more than I planned on over the next couple months.

oh god. please. if you listen to one thing i ever say, is please do not take your car to a place like this. checking out the website, it seems to be the same as maaco (by the way they have different packages and stuff). it seems like you have put your $ into getting the best for your car, do not ruin it with a 1300$ paint job. i realize it sounds a lot better than 3000 most shops will charge, but trust me, you will be sorry if you do not. i took my car to a place like that (maaco here) and in 1.5 years, it has been back 7 times and still not right.

and the 3000 is just what a normal shop will charge for a paint job. not to mention pricing for fitting on a body kit.

i see this as a disaster waiting to happen

well, right now I want to go with them. if it doesn't work out.. then in a few months I'll take it elsewhere and get a $3000 paintjob. I'm going to take the chance on 'em and see.
Maybe I'll get lucky. I know that these cheaper paint jobs aren't the best, but it'll be a big improvement over what it has now.

wow. i dont know if i should call you brave, crazy, or stupid. i dont see why if you can afford the better paint job, why you dont get it now, and save yourself a) 1300$ b) time you will be without your car later on and c) your sanity

Heh, right now I don't have the money, in a few months I will, but if it works out, hopefully I can put that money towards other things. The guy at the shop I talked to seemed to know his stuff, so maybe I'm a bit of all 3. I know you're probably going to be right about them Evan, but maybe, just maybe it'll work out.

i spent around 2,000 dollars on preping, painting, and installing my body kit. something does not add up. i would never spend less than 3,000 to paint the entire car. and the price they gave you to install the body kit is rediculous. the kit does not come in any sort of quality. i forsee them painting the **** the way the evo sends them out. they litterally take a **** in a box and send it to you. im with evan in no way shape or form should you cheap out on this.
